  1. Hi Kam Please get in touch to arrange collection Rob The rod is safe at my house I will bring it next week to the meeting. Charlie
  2. Hi Andrew Certainly a well known area to many of us It should be holding fish by now and is close enough to the Brittle stars to give both a go. some of the steepest pinicles fish well on the drift for Cod and Pollack The wrecks are worth a go at anchor over slack for some good eels. and a few tope get around the area. Its a fair way out so I usually go there all day to make the most of drifting and anchoring, but should be good on that forecast. Slack water at about 0900. and 1500 ish Sounds a great prospect wish I could join you. Tight lines Charlie
  3. No crew at all at the moment So may have to chase that up, or I suppose I could possibly crew for someone else if they are short. Not sure if I should save the browny points for the possible Cherbourg trip later in the summer. Charlie
  4. Add report later Just to let Kam and Martin know there rods are now in my car
  5. Tight lines Mark Now that you have been to Reading to see the trophy, you are off fishing. I hope that you enjoy it after being spoilt with Snappers and Kingfish Charlie
  6. Who had any sleep Was it the heat? I don't think so. Thanks for all the good wishes guys, shame all of the original boats and crews could not make it. Charlie
  7. Good luck mate I hope the toys all work, if you need a few numbers give me a call. We will miss you, as we know how much you were looking forward to it. I am sure bending a rod on your own boat will make up for it. Charlie
  8. Tight lines guys, hpe the fishes are biting. We hope to be passing the chains before 7 , so if you are up early give us a call on 6. Charlie
  9. Terry I think Dan's choice was; Dan ...... Kiln Farm beef burgers, plain ir chilli and coriander. Martin Would you like to just call Mark and pay over the phone, you could wait until you know we are there if you want to be sure. But if we do not make it I am sure Manta Ray will Rob The boat was designed by Dan so that you can lower the centre chain at the back and run from the cabin, over the engine box and straight over the stern. There is a ladder on the back to get back onboard, providing that you can swim at 20 knots to catch us up. "Hands to bathe" mid channel would add another story to the long list we already have after 4 1/2 years Charlie
  10. No Problem Martin No doubt I will be in Marks shop LOL Charlie
  11. Happy to do that for you Kam and anyone else that wants to place an order with Mark Charlie
  12. Sorry about that Rob All sorted with the crews now I believe, and thanks to Terrys hard work the lads that need it have accomadation. But I think there is a space available on Mrs Sea if anyone else wanted to come Lets hope the weather is OK Mainbrayce are still looking after us with fuel and water taxi prices. Charlie
  13. Nigel thinks that he may be very busy at work when he goes back tomorrow. In fact so busy that he may not be able to come. He has accomadation booked ashore. If anyone would like to take his place if he has to drop out , both on the boat and in the accomadation, please give me a call 07887 794716 Charlie
  14. Done simular in New Zealand Certainly gets the pulse going
  15. Hi Guys I have just come off the phone from Dave We have talked through all the plans this week as you would expect. The best that we can see at the moment is to let it blow through and then go on Sunday. Mon, Tue. I am waiting for an update from Nigel when he gets back to the UK Dave and I probably need to work on Wed, but are willing to have a late return. Terry you will get a call from Dave this morning. Craig and Ashley are looking to see if they can arrange these dates, as is Dan What are the other crews able to do?? Charlie
  16. Bloody Weather Adam that weather window has moved so many times, its like trying to pin a tail on a Donkey. [A live one running down hill] If you want a laugh, go to metcheck and click on the 14 day forecast for BH14, It looks like we will all need a bucket of Factor 30 sun cream, and have to fit some air conditioning to keep us cool in the still airs. Fat chance of that. Charlie
  17. Bloody Weather Its starting to P me off now. Charlie
  18. What Bait?? Duracells
  19. Hi Graham Me also, as although I spoke to some people during the day, later on I could not get Dave. Nigel's idea of a hand held, is what many of us use as a backup, and a way of chatting when fishing on the drift away from the main set. Charlie
  20. Best charter just over 3lb and best private boat just under. 54 anglers and most struggled in the breezy conditions Charlie
  21. Just in case Charlie ..... Rib eye Kiln Farm steak marinated in red wine Dan ...... Kiln Farm beef burgers, plain ir chilli and coriander Thanks Terry, lets hope that we get there Charlie

  23. Nice to see you out on your new boat yesterday Graham Did not hear you on the radio, and I could not remember your call sign, so sorry for not chatting. She looks a good fishing boat, I am sure you will soon Iron out the wrinkles. Charlie
  24. Hi Alun I am sure we are all checking the weather, I had considered going over Thursday evening, but that would be a bit of a nightmare logistically. What about very very early Fri am? Charlie
