  2. Some great pictures as always, it really gets the feeling across how up close and personal you lads get to some good fish. They look a very good size, I always reckon that they start to go that brown colour as shown in the last picture when they get to about 35lb+ well done all Charlie

  6. Boat should go back in tomorrow , so if anyone fancys joining me to fish this one please let me know. It will be a later start for me as I have guests on Sat night. If not without the boys I will not be eligable as I will have no crew Charlie
  7. Not sure if it came accross last night, but it did in the chat I had with Ian afterwards. Moonfleet angling is doing a huge amount for ex Army lads recovering from traumatic injuries, and for Help for Heroes Ian like many of the lads can not really hold down full time jobs whilst under medical care, but they do make and sell excellent kit. Its benifits to them are apparently far beyond what they earn, it gives them independance and self belief again. I think we as Club Members should give them our support where we can. Charlie
  8. terry Dan and I are working on the boat tonight and I will get his choices and let you know Dan 3.4.9 Charlie 2.4.9 Sorry its late Terry Charlie

  11. Nice fish I have not seen one that big for a few seasons Charlie
  12. The best way to tell the differance is the shape of the nasal flaps have a good look at the full definition picture of the two fish, you should see a marked differance. I can not remember what they differances are at the moment but I have it at home for a photo of LSD. This one is definately a Huss or a world record LSD Charlie
  13. Nice report Lofty Well done on your first ray on the kayak and a PB bream I expect your post will get a few hits from non fisherman, looking for other activities. Charlie

  18. I asked the question yesterday and received some responses Interesting pictures and comments here http://www.worldseafishing.com/forums/show...d=1#post4444985 Charlie
  19. There are some very basic checks for power Does it power tilt up/down Is the panel lighting up are the alarms sounding when the ket is turned. Is the battery correctly connected But as he is an engineer I presume that he has checked these. It should not be the kill cord as she would turn over but not start But it could be the gear shifter idle protection. fitted to prevent starting in gear, if it jams up it can prevent starting or even turning. Also make sure that the engine has been earthed correctly. I stripped a Yamaha 60 2 stroke, down to the cranckshaft once to fit new bearings, all went back fine but she would not go. Using pictures and the wiring diagram I removed and replaced the electrics moving some of the black earth wires to exactly the correct places. after that she started first go. Hope it is just a small problem mate Charlie
  20. Adam have you hacked into my PC to see the plan?? Day one sounds very close, except the HW at Bray means fuel stop then speedy. Slack LW in the channel about 0927 could mean an early start [ I had better warn Dan now LOL] HW Braye 1147 means that if you need fuel it would have to be in about 1330-1400 The Slack at the rock is about 1430. Could be an early start and push SW to fish the slack at a wreck or wrecks 40 miles from home, and get some bait then to Braye and/or the tope marks for mid afternoon BRING IT ON Charlie
  21. After a recent meal in the Broadstone one , I think the word chef should be deleted. It could mislead people, into thinking they use one.
  22. I would like to see a picture of an existing wind farm , taken at 9 miles range on a good day. There must be some out there that would give a more accurate image of what would be seen. Perhaps I will ask on the WSF site IMHO the place where you would see the things most would be from high areas like Durlestone and the hills on the South of the Isle of Wight. Charlie
  23. Terry I will try to get Menus sorted out on Saturday at the dinner with my crew [ except Dan who is in Spain] I believe that Manta Ray is still coming , but perhaps we can ask Alan on sat as well Getting closer now I may start to plan a bit soon ref tides etc Charlie
  24. Well done Martin , it sounds like you made good use of the moulds and a pile of lead. I tend to do that too, make a lot while I have all the gear set up [and wendy is out] She hates the thought of me in the lead fumes in the garage. Charlie
