-
She is a cracker Fred and the new addition looks good you have something to fall on to from the Alderney water taxi now then mate tight lines in the islands hopefully we can join you next season so get those banks sussed out Charlie

Thanks for the offer But the boys have Sats and exams to prep for and I am a little busy Tight lines Charlie

So far only results are from Coddy Bill Mike F Carol F George F Bob F Chris G and Gordon H I am afraid that working on the new boat has prevented me looking in to why my emails so bad, and building work at the club is keeping me very busy there as well. I have not recieved a list of those people who booked in with peter so its hard to chase up who has not recorded results If you made the effort to compete, please make sure I know how you got on. Charlie
-
Hi all glad to see that a few were among the fish I am not sure why but my emails are only arriving from a few people If you have sent score sheets I have not recieved any please send again to wchapman212@ntlworl.com as I believe the problem is with my address not wendys, I will reply to all that i receive if not send as a pm Charlie

That's not good rich reports of fish soon get around and the netters start to work anywhere they can get their gear around result is that fish stocks are clobbered by nets Charlie
-
Hi all The forecast for tomorrow looks good so I hope that a few can get out there chasing some points. The rules are the same, the way points are scored on the day is the same. but to try and maintain interest in this series of competitions the overall scoring has changed this year. Please remember to log in prior to going with Peter or I. Do Not bother logging with Great White on the VHF in the morning as she has been sold and is now in Cornwall I will be in Beaulieu tomorrow shopping for bits for the new boat Tight lines all Charlie
-
Keep us all posted Its hard work being at home wondering how our mates in the islands are getting on very tight lines to you all Have a great trip and put some back for next time. Who knows next year we may be able to bring the boat accross charlie

Well Tom thats a brave one, owning up to our cock ups on the forum is a good way to get it off your conscience. All of us that use the Harbour have been on the mud at one time or another. Congratulations on the New boat Mark, I am sure you will have many hours of fun on her. If you talk to the regulars from Mitchells they will soon let you kn ow about the tides. If you need a mooring to hang on too while waiting for the tide to flood prior to going back in to Mithells talk to me, mine is just outside Parkstone Yacht Club Haven entrance and will be free for a while. enjoy the new toy Charlie

I can not imagine why someone would think that the boat would be better fitted with a shed a nice little open boat wrecked. charlie
-
I thought you would have caught more responses with that bait Paul But perhaps others also knew what day it was Nice try Charlie
-
I look forward to recieving your catch report However I may decide not to forward it to Chris Clark for the echo charlie
-
Oh to be a school teacher Two weeks off again Alun Forcast looks good for the early part of the week, so I wish you tight lines I hope someone gets a fish soon it must be 6 weeks since someone recorded a fish Fish of the month for March will not be presented unless somone records something soon. Hi All I believe that the rules are about to change and as from September a boats radio licence will be a once only fee. only when changing boats will you have to pay The Instructor at Corfe Castle area is Brian Thorp he will run courses at his home for a very reasonable fee
-
Best of luck with your lad Dan I took mine at a very early age, they landed a few fish and look at them now as keen as Dad and a big influance on their mum to buy the new bigger boat. I have a great picture of Sam at about three with his first bass over 2lb. but I had better not post it, with his red boots on. carefull with your replies he is nearly 16, has attitude and is almost the same size as his Dad now Charlie
-
A tricky one It did not get much of a response, so never took off but as Adam says if somone wants to take it on and put down a format to see if it works please step forward. i used to fish a lot in the evenings, but it stopped when the boys took over as my crew and I agree with Adam Its tireing enough fishing after a busy day without adding competition pressure Rich your format sounds workable but I am not sure about the stingers bit, I think I have recorded 1 in 4 years Charlie
-
I hope someone gets out soon I have not added a fish to the book since early Feb Come on lads, I have an excuse. But someone must be getting something charlie

But Duncan surely Mike's loop would also do that you just have to pass it further through first including the splice. then pull the splice back under the cleat after dopping the loop on. a longer loop could be passed around the cleat more than once to prevent it bouncing off, but then a round turn and two half hitches would do that just as well, without shortening the rope by splicing it. Charlie I think the answer is really that it depends what you spliced the loop in for mate. The important thing is the number of tucks, at least 5 on man made fibres and three on natural in a three core rope splice. Charlie

Fred How did you know my brother called martin

Hi Kam I would think 5 min for 20 ltrs is hardly flushing the engine at all and only just enough to prevent total melt down of the impellor. a hose fitted to the small screw in fitting on the leg is only supposed to be used [with hose pressure] at idle revs. I would think to flush the salt out of the internal water system you would need a better flow rate. the flushing muffs on a hose when you got home and run the engine would be better imho Charlie
