  1. Me too. I fly fish for trout, salmon and bonefish left handed and fixed spool reels but have no trouble changing to right handed with multipliers. Persevere and it will become second nature. Terry.
  2. Likewise me. Don't really want to go anyway! Terry.
  3. Don't put this on the open forum for the Lord's sake! Terry. p.s. bu@@er, just noticed, too late.
  4. O/k, looks like we have the beginning of a plan. I am holding 14 beds on our behalf and they are now full. I can get more beds but don't want to do it one at a time so will make a list of those wanting beds and do it all at once, if required. Please let me know if you require a bed, excluding those who have already contacted me or posted. Terry.
  5. Can I also suggest that the joining fee for PBSBAC would be another good investment whilst you are writing a cheque for your mooring. You will not regret it. Terry.

    Sea Horse

On this subject, anyone know where the little blighters are? A friend in the States informs me they are a great livebait for flatties. Terry.
  7. Bank holiday! They've just had Christmas off, how much time off can anyone need? Goodness, in my day.............. It's so hard to keep up. Terry.

    Idle sods

I can't believe how many are still on the forum today, 2nd January. Haven't any of you idle sods got any work to do? Somebody's got to be out there contributing towards my pension. If you lot would get back to work, I'm sure the weather would change and the priveledged amongst us could get out and catch some fish. Terry.
  9. A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY GOOD FRIENDS IN PBSBAC. And thank you all for your support in what has been a interesting 3rd half of the year. It was great to catch up with some of you on Monday. Terry.
  10. Greg, for those who want accommodation, I think 11th - 14th is preferred, otherwise there is no room at the inn for the last night, 13th May. Like you, I have no intention of repeating the debacle of recent times. I hope if someone offers me a place, I will have the strength to decline. Terry.
  11. Hi Adam, glad to see your still at it and moving up in the world. This time of the year try anchoring instead of drifting, the water's too murky for the fish to chase after moving baits very often, scent being the key. Hope to catch up in 2012. Terry.
  12. Yes, thanks Paul. I've been going through cold turkey as I can't even go fishing to relieve the symptoms of withdrawl. Terry.
  13. However, if the boat is still on it's mooring, wouldn't the charges still apply? Terry.

    The Rabbit

I'd like to say that the end was worth waiting for. However............... Terry.
  15. I had the same one recently but, not being concerned with a businesss, knew I wasn't expecting any deliveries so binned it. Always be vigilant, there's some bad bu@@ers about. Terry.

    Birthday

A very happy birthday to you young Rob. 35 eh! I remember 35 ??? oh, no it's gone again. Terry.
  17. Oh come on Tony! Several years ago a friend of mine led a 4 day expedition across the Cairngorms 5 weeks after having a knee replaced. Let's not have any feeble excuses. Terry.
  18. Sorry to keep bringing this up so early but, having checked various accommodation options, I am struggling to find rooms for the night of the 14th May. This would mean, at best, moving digs for the last night. Alternatively, I can get consecutive nights from the 11th - 14th May. Any thoughts please as there are more charters enquiring and things will only get worse. Terry.
  19. There is no deposit to pay and if we have to cancel due to bad weather, no probs. If these dates are a possible goer, weather permitting, I will hold the rooms. I will also check to see if any more are free. Terry.
  20. If people think this is too early, I will release these beds and try later when dates are decided upon. Terry.
  21. Jim, according to Flog It, if you've kept the box it came in, Small Fry should be worth a bit in a few years time. Terry.
  22. I'm very sorry to hear of your experiences with both your boat and Warrior. I have been enjoying my 165 for 8 years now without a problem. The build quality appears to be superb and it does everything I require of it as an inshore fishing boat both safely and comfortably (mostly!) I would happily swap it for another if the time comes when mine is getting a bit "tired". I am sure if you approached Warrior with a positive attitude, I'm sure you'd find them very helpful. A product's warranty is normally overidden if it can be proven that it is not 'fit for purpose'. Good luck. p.s. This is not defensive, only objective.
  23. I realise it's not really my shout as I have only passenger status but, as accommodation appears short around the time we would normally go (and it is, I've checked), should we be thinking about dates? As a help, if we went as per Charlie's suggestion (12th - 15th May), I have access to 8 beds if required. Obviously I can't hold them indefinitely so it would be in the interest of those in need of accommodation to make some plans. What do people think? Terry.

    onlinefishing.tv

Onlinefishing.tv, can't get anything despite trying various routes. Planet fishing looks good, I have bookmarked it. Terry.
  25. Martin will also tell you about being away from vandals on the stack and store. Terry.
