I think this is just to get an idea of numbers and raise interest. Registering, I would imagine, will come nearer the time. Terry.

In the diary, decent weather expected. Terry.

Slight confusion from this end, Do we not use one or the other system across the board or are individual species on different scales? If not, why not? Terry.

The way I read it Jim was the wood was to frame it, perhaps I misunderstood. Terry.

A vote for Charlie and Martin, I went for Lowrance which does everything I want it to and it was fitted by Karl with one or two other jobs, all professionally done. He's done several jobs for me, all very satisfactory. Terry.

Slippery slope, Mal! It could end up with grammar and spelling checks on most posts and none of us want that. Although I could be tempted. 😉 Terry.

Surely, you just need one of these https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-2-way-multi-tap-adaptor-1-2-1-/435PT?gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1249410&ds_rl=1241687&ds_rl=1245250&gad_source=1&ds_rl=1247848&ds_rl=1245250&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4rK8BhD7ARIsAFe5LXKw_PacAKVcLtEIky3hueGW6edvzlvfykJJ4Cb-LvV0w6rLJ6yOdQgaAmF9EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds a couple of short lengths of hose and another pair of muffs if this will be a regular thing. I think I have an answer, how about using cormorants for pot bait? Win/win? Terry.
-
I wonder, if cormorants are part of the problem, whether it may be worth trying deeper spots in the harbour such as along the side of the main channel where we used to go for plaice and flounders. I haven't noticed that many of the black buggers up there. Terry.

Chicken? Terry.

Is it, perhaps, time to admit defeat and have a Christmas harbour species comp? Obviously, if a flounder was caught it would count double. Terry.

I think, as we have a number of members who are not confident IT users, we need a format that is user friendly. As the calendar is potentially used quite a lot, perhaps it could be stand alone? Terry.

Thank you all for the good wishes, I'm afraid it passed virtually unnoticed but it's nice you all remembered and felt happy to post. Terry.

A very Happy Cake Day, Stuie, in some ways, it's very reassuring they keep coming round. 😉 Terry.

In the States, they use the leadhead lures baited for flounder, I have tried them here and they do work. Their flounders are a bit different to ours and somewhat bigger so they use bigger sizes. I have also tried the bigger ones on turbot, not convinced they give an advantage. Terry.

Well known fact Martin, they don't work in the packet. Terry.

Hello sailor! Terry.

So, where are you thinking of going, Mal? 😉 Terry.

Perhaps something you might want to keep quiet about Brian. Terry.

You would not regret changing to a Warrior and this is a great package, everything you could need. I had one for years and don't regret a minute of it, it is a great sea boat. Terry.

Very much depends on the scale you have in mind Trev, are you looking for some background music or a wall of sound? At the lower end there are some very good and reasonably priced bluetooth speakers that will work from a laptop or your phone, if you have an Amazon account you can use Amazon Music to collect your playlists, otherwise you'll be looking at Spotify, etc. I use Amazon with two B/tooth speakers linked to my phone, they're waterproof and portable. You'll probably get a lot more complex advise from the techies amongst us, it's really a question of how much you want to spend, as always. Terry.

Just as well in the circumstances. Still better than working though. Terry.
