Adam F Posted April 21, 2012 Report Posted April 21, 2012 Sorry to hear that Jim, but they are expensive toys to have sat on the drive if not being used. Always a place on JV for you should you fancy it. Quote

pirky Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Sorry to hear about the sale Jim..... hope she goes to a good home and gets your asking price ... I hope the ribbing about " Haskins Garden Ornament " isn't the main reason !!! Dave Quote
Stuie Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Sorry to read this Jim - I really appreciated your support when we had our glitch last year. Hope all goes well with the sale. Quote
Brian Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Good luck with the sale Jim. If you're ever in need of a "Warrior Fix" let me know. Quote
Duncan F (bathclaret) Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Oh no! Well she's a major asset if you can't get out to play. Sorry to hear you'll be leaving the "Warrior club", for the time being at least. ... but it sounds like you won't struggle for some fishing anyhow. Duncan Quote
great white Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Good luck with the sale Jim, sorry to hear that she is being sold. You will be more than welcome with us. I have a mate who is thinking of buying a warrior and is considering a new one, as he could not find the spec he wanted second hand Pm me or email me the specs and I will give him a call, it could help you both out Charlie Quote
Jim Posted April 22, 2012 Author Report Posted April 22, 2012 Thanks all for the support and offers of trips out. It warmed my little cockles. Charlie: I'll try and get the details posted up here Tomorrow. I'm just cream crackered at the mo. I'm not giving up on Boating and Fishing. I'm going to downsize. I know if I go smaller, I won't get what the Warrior gives me. But fancy something I can easily chuck in and out on my own. My knees are getting dodgier all the time. I need to sell Small Fry to get the " readies " for a boat that catches my fancy at the time. Thanks lads. Jim Quote
charlieannear Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 I like your thinking Jim, glad you're not giving up on us! Quote
lofty Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Sounds like your coming over to the dark side? Safest boating you'll ever do. Quote
Rob Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Good luck with the sale Jim. Have a look at the Terhi range, esp 4030c. The HO is only 200kgs and being made of abs there is no precious gel coat to worry about when you pull it up on the slip whilst fetching or parking the trailer. Rob Quote
Duncan F (bathclaret) Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Jim, Like Charlie I may be able to help out with a potential buyer. I spoke to my neighbour today (who's also in the market) and he is interested too, so please PM me the details when you've got them together. Duncan Quote
Jim Posted April 23, 2012 Author Report Posted April 23, 2012 Lofty: Nah ! I need SOME luxuries. Rob: Thanks, but I want a cuddy. Duncan: I'll get it sorted tonight. Grandkids have gone back now, so I should get a chance. I wanted to spend every possible minute with them whilst they were here. Cheers. Jim Quote
Duncan F (bathclaret) Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 I wanted to spend every possible minute with them whilst they were here. AKA "getting your priorities right" !! Duncan Quote
Rob Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Jim, my father inlaw had it with a folding cuddy. I used it as a template for mine. Being a more "fair weather" boater, I thought this would suit. Quote
Brian Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Jim, my father inlaw had it with a folding cuddy. I used it as a template for mine. Being a more "fair weather" boater, I thought this would suit. Rob If he hasn't got a cuddy, he can't bring on his plants behind glass Quote
Jim Posted April 23, 2012 Author Report Posted April 23, 2012 Rob: I could'nt find a 4030c. on the net. ( only a Lap Top ) Well here it is: There would be some discount for Club Members ( and their Mates ) I took some pictures this evening. ( needs polishing ) I'll post them soon. Jim Quote
Brian Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 Hi Jim Surely after reading the spec and looking at the photos, you must of had second thoughts about selling Small Fry. (Don't forget grandkids get bigger and therefore need more room, not less). Quote
Jim Posted April 30, 2012 Author Report Posted April 30, 2012 Yes, she's a great package Brian. We always need to adapt to suit what's going on in our lives. If in a few years time, my grandkids may spend more time down here and may want to spend time on a boat with an " Old Codger ". If that happens, I'll count " me pennies " and do what I can. As things are, I just don't get much " Boaty " time so just want to keep things simple. And YES I'll be sorry to see her go. _______________________________ BTW - - - - - I forgot to list the Wheel Clamp and The Electric Bilge Pump. Still looking for something. Not made a decision yet but there's no rush, I can still use Small Fry if I want to. Jim PS Look at them ROD HOLDERS ! Quote
