  2. A very short notice trip for turbot on the shambles. Boat is Top Cat Skipper Ivan Wellington we will feather launce but need mackerel too. We only have 2 crew so far so it's a tall order but the turbo's are coming out so let's have a go. Need 6. Either book direct or I can do it but you must post here so we don't duplicate!!! Trev

  8. Dave, You'd better tell 'Chalky' then !!!! That one was barely 2lbs but the latest to come out was 3lb 14oz. They are OK in low oxygen but don't like hot water so a lake with at least some spring / artesian activity is great. Small weighted flies fished hard on the bottom black green and gold.

  10. A bit off the mainstream club talk I know, but I also know quite a few of you guys enjoy your trout fly fishing particularly, during the quiet times at sea. Well, Arctic Char can now be caught in two local fisheries - Rockbourne near Fordingbridge and Woodington near Romsey. You no longer need to fly to Iceland or drive to Scotland for a thin chance. Have a go for one of the rarest of salmonids, spectacular fish built like torpedoes. These are about to hit the fly fishing press well'ard.............. produced by ................... guess who?

    Neal, So sorry to here all this! Gutted for you! An idea though. Have a look for Guard lights They are PIR. have sesitivity setup a good res. camera shots whenever triggered for either stills or video has an alarm facility to pi55 them off or warm you. HDSD card to record but recycles old data continuously so never runs out.

    so sorry to read all this Neal! Say it how it is Lofty.... Don't hold back. Good advice re ebay etc.. your insurance should cover Neal. Remember it is never in use .... just on the way there, on the way back, or stored. Good luck mate
  15. Down on Otter today for an engine run up and deck wash Didn't know ducks had sooo much crap in them!! Anywho, the coastguard chopper was hanging around somewhere near the end of the ledge so presume this was what the fuss was about.

    Just to say as the subject has come up! I took the plung with CuNiguard last year from Boatylicious at Cobbs 15 years predicted protection... One year in--- spotless COool..........
  18. Def lumpsucker. Saw a great many in Denmark years ago. Treated as trash fish over there and minced and fed to the trout.

  20. Have a look on our friends site Here The 20H is 6.1:1 perfect size for a 6lb class ( I have a 30H on mine) @
  21. You couldn't go wrong with a daiwa saltist high speed or twin speed. Eiither 6.4 or 6.1:1 thats over 40" per crank. I have a set of these if you wish to see / try. The new twin speed is as light as a feather and so well made.

  24. Sorry, but I am a little remiss having not followed this but, although there will be some very good structure, hence refuge for fish - what access / exclusion is foreseen, designed or otherwise legislated for?
