  8. Lofty ! You are an inspiration to to us mortal men who look at the weather and chicken out. Thanks for sharing with us. Something about Kayaker's reports..... They're always very interesting ! ! Cheers. Jim
  9. Interesting Brian. Thanks. Jim
  10. Congratulations Alan. You need to repair the brakes and bearings I believe ? Make sure you fit a Hub flush kit. They are fantastic ! ! ! !. Make sure you fit Bearing Savers ! They too are fantastic ! ! I have some stuff you can borrow to clean the rust from your brake parts that are not going in the skip. It's a paste that you leave for a while and then hose off. It dissolves the rust and leaves it clean and ready for painting. PM me if you want to borrow it. Jim
  11. You have my respect Adam ! Big task on top of working and Husband / Dad duties. You're making a fantastic job of it and it's good to see you found a few jobs for Rob so he feels useful. Jim
  12. Happy Birthday Jon. Hope It's a good one. Not much chance of fishing in this weather though ! Jim
  13. Hi Alan, Not had much to do with them but yes, looks similar to Warrior 165. Had a bit of a look a few years ago but didn't think it was as good as Warrior. How does weight compare to Warrior ? The 60HP engine is only just enough. 70 or 75 is far better as you can get it up on the plane and then ease right back to cruise economically. I don't think resale value will be as good but if you can buy it cheap enough ? ? ? Have you priced the brakes and bearings ? probably £150. ish ! for parts. Jim
  14. Happy Birthday Dave. I expect you'll have an extra cake or two. Happy Birthday Freddie. Jim
  15. Happy Birthday Sandy. Jim
  16. Hi Alan. Giving up the rag & stick or going to try to do both ? Warriors are great boats. The 175 is very heavy though. As with all boats, you trade one thing against another. Jim
  17. Not the SECRET map I hope Brian ! ?

  19. Very good Chris. Shame I don't need any . . . they look the dog's danglies. Jim
  20. Mike & George, I didn't mean anything against George. Just that on the rare occasions that I get out fishing I would like it to be pleasurable and stress free. ( Yes Chris . . . with plenty of banter ) Match fishing's definitely not for me ! Although I do enjoy a few comps . . . . . . or maybe it's the beer & food at the weigh-in that lures me. Jim
  21. I'm not interested in match fishing. ( but I'm just a boring old fuddy duddy ) I had a mate in the midlands who was well into it. It was cut-throat and quite nasty at times. He only did it for money. ( as did many others ) Not for Me Thanks ! But anyone who is interested, feel free. Jim
