My Dad was from the industrial north. His favourite was Used engine oil mixed with Creosote. It was superb and thieves hated it! Not sure it looked pretty enough for these days and wouldn't comply with safety "box ticking" though. 🙂

Thanks Graham. I ordered the: Hawke Endurance ED 8x42 Monocular today. Amazon prime so I'll get them tomorrow. I had a £10 discount to use up so that helped. I saw the 42 was lens size. The other end is 80mm so hope it's not too big. The next size down looked too small to me. Just hope she likes it. 😉

Thanks Charlie. She's tried a few Binos and hates them. She's had some Monoculars but only dirt cheapo jobs and likes not having to fiddle about or having size & weight problems. They just go in her pocket.

Thanks Pete. It'll be a surprize so no testing. She needs something easy to use and lightweight as she'll have it in her pocket. Also she needs it to be stable whilst in her hand (something she's not good at)

Our internet gets slow during the day so an early start (05:30) to upload a few more vids. That's going a bit faster than it did yesterday. 😉 4K videos are very large files but we're getting there. Then back onto some CAD work. 👍 This retirement is great. . . . . . . . . "Lolling about" doing nothing all day! 😄
