when i bought small fry, the gps and radio would not fire up, a multimeter confirmed 12v supply was present.
it turned out to be corrosion on the switch contacts.
12 volts coming through but no umph !
try re routing a clean supply of power.
Jim
I have a 4HP Suziki on my Warrior 165.
I had to use it once in the Entrance to Poole Harbour. It barely beat the current and got me to the safety of Brownsea Island.
Your boat is smaller and lighter, so I would think a 4 or 5 HP would be best bet.
Also last year's Winter " Flatty Comp " I thought " I'm only going in the harbour - I wont need it "
Guess what ?
Battery failiure.
Always carry it ! ! !
Jim
I'm in Hamworthy.
You're welcome to take a look at Small Fry ( Warrior 165 ) although I've taken the bridge off to have Rod Holders made and the Electric panel is off at the moment.
PM me if ya wanna bring the wife for a look.
Jim
What Size / Price / Trailing or Mooring.
There was a Warrior available a while back.
Have you been on many boats to make a decision ? etc. etc. etc.
Jim
I think it's all down to feromones and stuff like that.
( or at least that's the excuse I'm using )
Looks as though I've got a bit of catching up to do on the boat species comp.
Looking on the bright side though, Anyone thinking of joining the club but scared of getting shown up can feel quite safe on that score.
Jim
A cracking day out Dave.
Thanks Mate.
I may not have had any Bream, But I've never had a Dogfish or Spotted Ray before _ so they were " Personal Bests "
And I've caught something this year at last ! ! ! ! !
Don't forget - the Spotted Ray needs to be added to Wight Magic's Species tally.
Hoping to get my bridge back with the new Rod Holders and get Small Fry out there.
Jim
Got back from Cornwall last night.
Been looking forward to this for ages !
See you all out there. I hope our club is in the money with the Dolphins open.
Good luck to all.
Jim
Thanks for all the input gentlemen.
I have an E-tec book too but I can't read - - - - or too lazy to read it.
Does this mean that you've ordered a Warrior then Brian ?
As for wear on the gearbox, the 75 is the same as the 90 so I expect it's built to handle the load.
I am very pleased with it so I'll leave it alone.
Cheers
Jim
I too have a Warrior 165
With an E-Tec 75
I seem to get 32 MPH Flat out ( GPS Speed ) at just over 400 RPM ( 4000 )
Maybe my Prop's a bit big, or wrong pitch.
I think they should be about 5000 RPM flat out.
