  1. The past 2 years Jacqui's had a cheapo lightweight rod & reel from me. Oh the look of joy and surprise on her face as she unwraps it is priceless.
  2. Happy Birthday Terry. Wot U Got planned? Chillaxing at home ? Glass of Vino? Slice of Cake? Whatever you're doing have a great Birthday. Jim
  3. I'm sure she'll be delighted with the fishing tackle voucher !
  4. We eat the good stuff and put the Not so good stuff back to produce more " not so good stuff " So there's lots of baby " not so good stuff " for the good stuff to eat! Far to complicated for Me! I just feed them up for you lot to catch !
  5. Only 13ft 5ins Greg so not a problem. He used to have a 16 footer! Tiddler's only 13 feet but I'm not lifting her up on a roof rack though. We'll have to wait and see what happens with COVID but I quite fancy one of those. No launching, mooring, servicing, fuel, or lift out fees. I'm only a poor old pensioner now y'know.
  6. Well done Wendy ! and Charlie.
  7. Will Father Christmas get it down the chimney ? I thought it was a bit big for that? Although . . . . . He is magical so no problem !
  8. A good day out then Gents. Shame about that Cod though Neil.
  9. Thanks. Have you got it or pre ordered? Having the standard Flip ups or Go faster sporty ones?
  10. See ! Completely lost the plot. You went out in the Revo and posted pictures. Silly old Duffer! When you DO get the duo it would be good to hear your thoughts. And for my part . . . . . .I'll try to remember reading it. 🤪
  11. Well come on then Steve. How did the first time out go? As a seasoned yakker I await your thoughts on the build quality, stability, performance etc. etc. etc. That price for the duo with the kick up fins seem very good compared to Hobie's normal prices. £3,300 for twin drives plus the kayak. At less than 100lbs before adding the extras it seems a good weight too. ? ? ? ? And did you catch any fish? Jim
  12. Happy Birthday Duncan ( Bathclaret) Hi Duncan, Hope all's well with you. A very happy Birthday. You know the rules! Beer, Cake etc. etc. Jim
  13. Don't ruin a good cake by putting fruit in it Colin.
  14. Happy Birthday Oli. Extra slice of cake required I think. Jim
  15. Terry & Myself were distanced on Stingray a few weeks ago. That worked well I thought.
  16. That's what I thought but it would have been nice.
  17. That would be good. We'll have to see what happens.
  18. Thanks for the link Lofty. I had already googled and watched it. Very impressive. I was also impressed with the guys at the Hobie shop @ Rockley. No hassle just let us go for a test drive and gave us info without the pressure. Jacqui loves kayaking so we may buy one in the spring and they'll have my business if we do.
  19. Jacqui was thinking of a double kayak but I wasn't convinced cos one of us would be at the front pedalling like fury and the other one at the back reading her Kindle and relaxing ! Thinking about it though . . . . . . . she could be handing me the food and drinks over my shoulder so it does have it's it's benefits. I'll be keen to hear how it goes. Jim
  20. Happy Birthday Alfie. Not seen you for ages. Hope all's well with you & yours. Jim
  21. Happy Birthday Pete. Sorry it's late. As for the rice pudding . . . . . . Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuvly!
  22. What you got then Steve?
  23. Happy Birthday Steve . Lovely weather for it! Probably out fishing are you? ? ? ? No I didn't think so in this weather. You'll just have to have an extra slice of cake in stead. Enjoy. Jim
