  4. Happy Birthday Jim Hope you had a good day and have a great evening Mick
  5. I have bow rails fitted to my warrior 165. the mrs wanted them, we use to enter the boat through the front hatch as it sits an a mooring so they were handy to hold on too. Other than this and i like the look of the boat with them they serve no other use. I have a two battery set with one located a the rear and one in the steering console. Also located in the console is a VSR relay two isolator switches and a parallel switch cluster. Mick
  6. You can only enter the mmsi number once so makesure you do it correctly. The only way to change this is by the manufacturer or one of their approved dealers. Mick

  13. Well what a glorious day plenty of rays and steady action all day. Unfortunately the rays were all sun rays not that im complaining. Dog fish nearly every drop and a few Bream just to keep me amused. Thanks Mike for the good company and sorry we didnt find the rays. Its exactly a year since my very first trip out on the grinch. What a year makes and i must say that joining this club was the best thing i could of done. I have learnt so much from members and the forum and im definately safer than i would have been. A big thank you to all that have made me feel so welcome. Mick

  18. Good report craig. It was nice to meet you albeit very brief. I think we boated 8 rays in total of different types. First rays ive caught afloat so i was really pleased. what really suprised me was the number of good sized bream we caught. Nothing big but all dinner plate size, we must have had 20 plus.( dont panic all were returned for another day ) With a cuttle fish Garfish and plenty of Mackeral it was a very enjoyable day. Mick

  22. I have just downloaded the latest updates for my Garmin 550s chartplotter and was wondering how many people actually do this. It a year since i picked my boat up from Warrior and kitted it out. In that time i have downloaded 4 updated to the plotters software. Ive never really noticed and differences in the first 3 and wondered if it was worth while. However todays update has some obvious changes. New screens quicker navigation through data and the facility to take screen shots, definateley looks better. I must admit to being a bit nervous updating the software incase it mess it up. Does anyone else update their software. Garmins update system is so easy download to pc copy to SD card put into plotter and follow instructions Mick

    A reel Doctor

Jim Best computer tip ive heard for ages. My poor eyes will be forever greatful Mick
  24. Clive If you go on garmins web site you can down load the manual. I find it a lot easier to read on the pc than from the book. I know i may sound daft but do you have a speed sensing transducer ie the one with the paddle wheel. Some of the packages i looked at did not include this option. If so then i just followed instruction in manual (page 33) and it works. Mick
