  1. Thanks Adam for sorting the pics I realized what I had done and then my computer crashed only just got it going again.
  2. We made arrangements with Sean at Cheetha Marine to visit on Fri to sort out a few things with the new Cat (kitten?). We got the 09.00 ferry and were at the yard for 10:45 expecting the boat to be at the finishing workshop, but it wasn't... No problem with that though as Sean took us up to the workshop where the boat is at the moment. The problem we did have though was that we had our nice new shiny Radar Tower with us with the intention to get it fitted.... The bl***y roof in the workshop was too low!!!! Never mind it has been built to fold down so it might still be possible to fit it folded. So up on the cabin roof it went and it fitted exactly where it was planned but still not possible to fit it cos the door out of the workshop was the same height as the mast when folded. Never mind I know it fits now. Time to sort out some more bits of the build with Sean, change this, move that. So all that we could do now was get a few more pictures. Then back home.
  3. Thanks Charlie if you could just send me your bank account details that would help Seriously though thanks if I get stuck I will give you a shout. I will be pollishing the radar tower this evening which as you know is a mucky job but it helps channel my excitement in to doing something usefull. Colin
  4. Another view. She is off to the finishing shop this week but still no date for completion.
  5. It's now looking like a boat
  6. Things moving again now had email from Sean at Cheetah they have the deck honeycomb and are getting on with the build again. Also picked up the last of my electronic package from Matt today, YES!!!! my nice shiny new Structure Scan. All we need now is a Cat to fit all the bits and gadgets to. Good luck to all those that have boats and are having a go at the fish, we will be out there soon so when you find them leave a few Red Spots for us. Colin
  7. Hi Ian Bobi says yes to A !!!!! We have plenty of rods so B no problem. Colin
  8. Well things are moving along slowly. There has been a hold up on the deck material, but Sean at Cheetah assures us that the suppliers now have the 40mm honeycombe in stock. so things should speed up again now.
  9. Charlie dont feel too sorry for me the pound signs were the reason for taking on the gig, just to good not to take it on. If the weather turns and the date changes we might still make it, that is providing we have a boat of course.
  10. Really sorry but we will have to pull out of this Alderney trip. I stupidly took on a gig at the BIC for us both before realising the date. Got a good kicking from Bobi over it Colin
  11. Looks like a job Charlie
  12. We have not fished off a Cheetah yet. Yes we were on the one at Southampton and did the deal with Sean whilst sat on her. Sean is raising the cabin moulding a bit so hopefully we wont keep banging heads on the overhang. Colin
  13. Just trying to add another pic
  14. Na Trev not fitting Hysu Foils, already spent too much and my research dosen't show there would be much, if any advantage on a smaller Cat . Yeah Pete OLD Salty Sea Dog ! Charlie would appreciate instructions on how to add the photo's, I did try but didn't get anywhere.
  15. Well I have ordered the HDS7 and structure scan just got to wait for the next delivery, mid March. I raised question over the patent issue and was assured that this issue was resolved. We shall see eh? Colin
  16. Well, work is underway on the new boat. She dosen't look like the one we were measuring up the other week yet, but I am sure the guys at Cheetah Marine know what they are doing. I tried to put pics on this post but couldn't make it work so if anyone is interested there are some pics in my photo album. Colin Ps if anyone can talk me through how to put pics on or stick them on for me that would be good.
  17. Yeah I think I will go down the Lowrance route and take the risk, afterall the hds7 is a nice bit of kit anyway. I will be running a stand alone furuno radar,a seperate ais reciever, and some other bits and bobs which are sat in my cupboard. Can't wait to start playing with it all but will have to wait till the cat is finished. Colin
  18. B***er just when I thought I was going to buy the Lowrance they have a patent issue. Now what to do. Thanks for the pics. So where would I buy a Hummingbird? Colin
  19. I am looking at the hds7 with structurescan can't stretch to the 8 it's quite a big price jump. I was asking just to find out how easy it is to operate and read as I am a bit of a technophobe. All I want to do is find fish and catch them not spend time pressing buttons and swearing at my electronics. Thanks for the replies I shall be making my decision in the next couple of days. Colin
  20. Has anyone got a structure scan yet. If they have what is the verdict on them. The advertising blurb is great but what are they like in practice. Colin

Hi Alun and Adam I now have the long promised Demijohns for you. There are 16 so you can split them up how you like. Give me a shout to arrange pick up. Colin
  22. As it happens I had already booked last week to go and see Matt Sydenham at 3.30 today. I had trouble finding MES so pulled in and rang them to find out where they are. I asked for Matt, only to be told he was in Romsey and no one was expecting me. He had obviously forgotten I was going to see him, even though he had told me it was in his diary. I am not impressed with their service so far.!!!! Colin
  23. Can anyone tell me where I can get a good deal on electronics. Colin
  24. We will go with whatever is decided. We wont be at the meeting have to go to bl**dy Spain Shame Eh? Bobi will be fishing so no worries on that score. Colin
  25. Happy Birthday Martin. If you are have Jelly and Ice cream tonight you can always come over tomorrow, no probs. Colin and Bobi
