Lovely bit of warm sunshine early on. Fished Holes Bay - not a touch but blew a few cobwebs away. Wind strengthened and became uncomfortable at lunchtime - with weather report saying it was strengthening so in we came for a coffee at the refurbished Cobbs restaurant. Saw 'Rough Ryder' had lifted an errant channel buoy and taken it to New Quay. Caught a glimpse of the latest Sunseeker - the biggie...

Interesting read Alun - suggests they spend 11 months in the estuaries.

I don't use pirks a lot myself but it's worth considering assists made with circle hooks. A good friend of mine did very well with them when drifting out of Newcastle. You won't hook the wreck so often with them either.
