  1. Impressive Brian But I bet he can't fill out a Wessex Angling Trust FOM Form !!!!!!!!!!
  2. The right letters Neal, just slightly in the wrong order. That proves that I'm not the only one ! Greg
  3. Charlie C is right. Also, the form needs to be a lot more simpler to encourage a Parent/Junior to fill it out and send it off. On a positive note at least the AT are trying to do something to encourage Juniors. Greg
  4. Your'e having a laugh!!!!
  5. Thank you for all your warm wishes guys. Took the day off with the family Yesterday and had a light lunch at Cobbs and finished the day off dining out at La Lupa's. We all had a great meal there with a good atmosphere. Carol and Brad bought me lots of fishy bits and pieces including a 12-20lb class Kenzaki (for the secret Ray mark) and a Shimano spinning reel (to do more Lure fishing this year - Hooky will be proud) Stuie and Alan - unfortunately, the boat is out of the water for her winter maintenance. Could not believe the weather Yesterday. Good luck to all those fishing this weekend with or without their Autopilot! Chris - Through fear of setting off the smoke detectors it's not a good idea putting candles on my cake anymore Sorry Jim had to be done - Wine and Cake last night Thanks again guys and I hope we all have a great year's fishing Greg

  12. What a great report Nige with some stunning photos. I had a lot of belly laughter reading your report and looking at the photos, it reminded me of a recent TV series, now what was it called; Men Be having Badly ? ------ No Three Men in a Boat ?-----------No I Know: The Real Marigold Hotel :D

  14. Hi Neil Hi Neal What a great lot of results. Well done to everyone. As far as I understood it at the time Jacob had the same number of species as Brad on the Spring Species Hunt and therefore both were joint winners. Cheers Greg

  19. Be careful of the fog. Do not put yourself into any unnecessary risk for a couple of fish. It can be a bit unpredictable out there at the moment. Greg
  20. My laptop is offline at the moment hence why Martin has very kindly uploaded the picture. Thanks Martin. Rob Samways and I set off to the South side of the spoil ground. We arrived at the mark and our squid were still frozen. Without thawing I dropped in a very small squid on a size 6 penned. I then diverted my attention to set up a whiting rod and whilst doing so my rod started to nod. Fish on. The rod tip typically nodded as I was reeling in and I said to Rob this must be a conger! Wrong! A nice 18lb 6oz cod landed within the first 10 minutes of fishing. This was also a personal best for me. Rob caught a nice 8lb Smoothy and as the tide started to race and the Congers got bigger we retired to the Sadler for some gentle Whiting fishing. Rob had about 10 whiting for the pot. So a winning day for both of us. Greg

    Anodes

I had the same thing happen to me Mick. My boat came out last week for it's pre winter scrub and anode change. My anodes were replaced last March. I have three anodes. Prop, shaft and transom. Only part of the transom anode was left. I will have to consider replacing my anodes sooner. Luckily no damage was done. Poole Harbour has traditionally been bad for Anodes. I do not think it's solely a Cobbs problem. I have been there for 20+ years and it has not changed over that time. Hope this helps Mick Greg
