  1. In my opinion Neil If you are wanting a fishing boat with good deck space then I would not go for either of them. As you know I have a Merryfisher 805 and it is basically a caravan on water, good fuel consumption and a good safe family boat, but not a serious fishing boat. Three anglers on board would be a crowd, two is really the limit. On the fuel consumption, From Cobbs Quay to the Needles and back I used £54.00 of fuel this year. I can not judge between the Rodman and the Merryfisher.

  10. Thanks everyone for your kind wishes. Had a chilled day visiting my Dad’s birth place Tyneham Village and Walbarrow Bay. Went out out for a meal and drinks with the family last night and had a great time. Got totally smashed

  24. We had the same last Friday Stuie, loads of Dogs and Straps - In my opinion it is still too early for Cod on the spoils they do not normally arrive there in any numbers till mid December. It's a long way down to the IOW for the Cod comp so I will be hoping Andy does another comp in the Christmas break, that's when I tend to have more luck on the spoils. Greg
