  1. Flounder Comp Results 1st Jerry Sumbler Flounder 1lbs
  2. Hi, Norman is joining Loobie 1V as Brian has dropped out, apologies to those who wanted to join us but he got in first. I understand those who made it to the Christmas meeting welcomed Chris’s thoughts that the Flounder Comp will run on Sunday from 8am until 3pm. I will be outside the marina office with scales at 3.30 if people can aim for that. This allows time for boats to get back to Cobb’s, wash down and weigh in. And maybe even have a beer!!!!! Good luck and looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday. Jerry
  3. A place available on Looby 1V for the Flounder Comp, pm me👍
  4. Madness - Martin - Terry - Dean Loobie 1V Jerry-J2 +an other tbc
  5. Have a good one🍺
  6. Just over a week before the Flounder Comp, a few more seem to be about than the previous seasons so sign up as usual, always good banter this one and a pint afterwards at Cobbs.
  7. Well unless there are any other reports to come in it looks like the Cod and Whiting Competition unfortunately blanked. Well done those who managed to get out, not an easy day. I had planned to go out on the Monday as it previously was looking better with a SW wind direction, but by Sunday night that had changed. With fresh blacks J2 had found we headed to Chesil at 5.30 Monday morning. 1.4m Swell my first two casts prouduced below!!!! Sorry about the blood, two of us had 7 on the beach by lunchtime, a few whips and a bass. Perhaps we had better hold the Cod comp on Chesil next year!!!!
  8. Well Loobie1V ventured out, got two miles off Old Harry and crew decided too lumpy (also the skipper!!!) back to the secret Ray mark with two charters and 4 private boats, one who anchored so close we offered him a cuppa, plonker!! Dogs, Tubs, very slow. Lunchtime kicked up so back to the harbour where Stuie had 8 bass and J2 and I had nowt!! Strange day, but good crack and great to be out. Looks like Kev would of won with one Whiting🤣🤣🤣🤣
  9. Loobie1V crew Stuie, J2
  10. Ok The Cod and Whiting Comp is on. Fish either Saturday or Sunday, posting beforehand which day etc. Both days on ALL of my weather apps are saying SE 8-17mph. If you decide to fish please be aware the forecasts of late have not accurate, there will be a good residual swell so please take this into account where you might plan to fish and keep in contact with other boats you know are out. Stay safe and tight lines, let’s hope a Cod or two grace someone’s deck!!!!
  11. Belated birthday wishes🎂🎂
  12. With the weather being so unpredictable I will not speak with Mal until Friday as to whether the Comp will run. As 99% of the bait will be frozen this should hopefully not pose a problem to anyone. I hope everyone understands and fingers crossed.
  13. Loobie 1V day and crew TBC
  14. Next weekend is hopefully the Whiting and Cod Competition, there is a glimmer of hope that the weather might play ball. With good numbers of Codling being caught off beaches locally, maybe this year will be the return of Cod for us. Sign in as usual and watch for weather reports nearer the time.
  15. Have a great day🎂🎂🍺🍷💃💃
