  1. Happy Birthday Dean!
  2. Welcome to the club!
  3. Yep, I am also pursuing that route!
  4. Cheers Mick, yep, already tried that.
  5. Hi Paul I've been trying to sort it out by swapping between US and UK keyboards, but it's as if whichever one I choose doesn't apply properly. I seem to get a mixture of the 2 keyboards, or it says I've selected US but it gives me mostly UK keys or vice versa. After quite a few swaps I've got it back to where it was, with all of the keys giving the correct characters except for the one next to z! Also tried swapping between UK and UK Extended, but no joy. Keyboard Driver is ATK, 24/01/2007, 1.0.0.0 Tried to update the driver but it seems to be the latest.
  6. Everyone's a fricking comedian... Thanks Paul D, I'll have a play...
  7. Thanks for responding quickly Paul I should have said I'd set all the regional settings... Incidentally if I select add a keyboard, and select the 'show more' list of English (UK) keyboards then select either the normal or extended UK one and select preview- both do not show a key between the shift and the z.
  8. Hi All Just got my laptop back from a warranty repair and it's come back with fresh install of Vista on it- consequently it's taken me a while to get things back to the way they were... Anyway, I have a problem which some of the more technical minded amongst you might be able to help me with. They key in between the z and the shift should give me backslash or pipe, instead it gives me hash or tilda (# or ~). The key that should give these characters is next to the return key, and it still gives the expected characters. Currently if I want to type a backslah or a pipe I have to use the on-screen keyboard found with in accessibility options (like this \ or |). Using the on-screen keyboard I have options on how many keys to have- from this I think my laptop currently thinks it has a 101 key keyboard when it should realie that it's got a 102 key keyboard. Anyway, does anyone have any ideas how I can remedy this please? Thanks, C.
  9. I've got the proper C-Map PC Planner software and card reader. I don't think there's any other software available, and you have to have the card reader because C-Map cards are a peculiar shape. I got mine second-hand off e-bay, so what I paid isn't really relevant (I paid about 50% wht you fill find it for on the internet at places like JG Tech). I found one in an auction which was finishing at an odd time of day, therefore I was lucky to get the price it finished at. You have to register it before you can use it, which means it's copy protected, and besides, you need the card reader. Best thing is to keep an eye out on e-bay.
  10. I've got one, but it wasn't free...
  11. He is a footballist. FOOTBALLIST
  12. I'll give you a sheet Adam, if I can find it at home...
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. I knew I could count on you Tom! And proud!
  16. Good to hear you're returning to the fold Jas!
  17. I think we all agree! I live in the road opposite the PBSBAC meeting venue and it's not in the middle of nowhere but also it's not a gritted road (not a bus route) and yesterday morning it was like an ice rink. Some people driving like it was a summer's day, some people Driving Miss Daisy.. between here and Sylvan school (about half a mile) there were 3 car crashes. I wonder which style of motorist? And this is in the middle of town. I couldn't get my car off the drive (steep slope)- nice couple of mm of fluffy white stuff... with sheet ice underneath it. Enviro-friendly Pajero was fine getting up the road though. Still quite a bit of snow left yesterday afternoon by the time the freeze came back, along with more snow. This morning? Twice as slippery- strangely no summer drivers- I expect they are mostly in the bodyshop... In snowy countries the first day of snow causes chaos. Then they bring out their multi-million pound snow machines, fit snow tyres... and still have accidents I expect. Airports in those countries have heated runways to avoid Heathrow-itis. We don't, for a similar reason that our houses and workplaces aren't all air conditioned, i.e it simply wouldn't be worth the expense. Instead we suffer for a couple of days a year. Once again the media goes into overdrive. The country isn't paralysed by snow, it's paralysed by the roads blocked with sideways and upside down cars/lorries, and all the police who could be doing something useful are having to clear up the mess. The main roads may be fine, but you have to get to them on some very dangerous minor routes. I'm sure the Police etc would rather not have had to deal with the ten-fold increase in accidents that they had yesterday. The advice is- Slow down, or unless it's really neccesary, don't bother- for a reason. People staying off work because they don't fell safe driving- good move. People staying off work because they have kids to look after- as they should. This country will soon have to catch up with the rest of the developed world. And who doesn't like playing in the snow with their kids? It's a shame people have to make excuses, rather than stay safe/be parents and make up the time later. I guess I'm a lefty, liberal tree-hugging tosser- even in the Pajero!
  18. They aren't the same as a proper military jerrycan- the Aldi ones are made from much thinner metal. Still, not a bad price for a jerrycan-shaped tin
  19. Bob, sadly I'm sure you won't be the last- it'll be a testing few months ahead for many of us. I'll keep my ears open for you. C.
  20. Happy Birthday!
  21. I'm no expert, but I think you should be seeing something like 14.2v at all times, with very little variation. Has your outboard got an actual alternator, or just a rectifier? I'm sure someone like Charlie or Bob will know more, but I think (sorry) something's still not right there.
  22. I've just edited my post to a couple of links for examples of barrels. The normal advice is to have a round barrel. I think those aerators just drop into the tank/box/barrel.
  23. What's the biggest you could fit? i.e how much space do you have available? You want as big as you can manage really. http://www.solentplastics.co.uk/industrial...eringContainers or http://www.solentplastics.co.uk/marine-sto...#WatertightKegs A bit further down are the blue barrels that a lot of us use. Hope this helps.
  24. Nice try Rob, but no banana... for me at least. Saving the file to my PC lost the tabs. Good idea though so I inserted commas instead of tabs, renamed it as a .csv and it worked a treat.
