No cod for me and Martin today but good to see jim catching. Suffering a bit with the cold now but was surprisingly good conditions out there and once again a great trip on AWOL. Many thanks to Martin.

I feel like Charlie does at the moment but "going for it" anyway. Helen says I am mad but going to see how I am in the morning. After all I have Martin's bait so have to turn up at least !

Mick, There was a seal right up near where your mooring is a few years back. It was basking on the pontoons on the houses that back onto the river.

Charlie, The gain on the antenna will be related to,the length of the antenna. Using the set with a shorted / broken antenna can destroy the output stage, however, it won't affect the reception. Have you tried reterminating the connector ?

That certainly looks more encouraging. Must get the rods dusted off

He is not making sense either. I thought it was determined that article 47 was not aimed at recreational,anglers as we know them in this country but at recreational anglers who are effectively fishing commercially. This was old ground I thought. Still makes good press a bit of euro bashing

I am with Duncan here - hopeful. There are a million and one things I could say here but must resist - think of the members !! - More importantly, the cod are in and my boat is not here Will be re-united on the weekend then, weather willing, I shall be endeavouring to make a small dent in the cod stocks

These are where I got a replacement for mine. Note though the design has changed and they have a round end which fits through a kit which now has the ball joint. You may need one of these as well ( I did ). Actuators

Must be true, it was apparently reported in the sun as well.!! All the same, to me it seems a real shame to kill such a magnificent specimen.

I have been trying to find the one I used. However, I had two lots of rope, the first was superb but the second was no where near as supple as the first.
