  2. Charlie, That's because I am envious and want one like it Seriously, I will take a look at what photos I have and add links to them ( It is a really quick job to do ). If I haven;t got the photos of GW, then I will get someone to e-mail them to webmaster@pbsbac.co.uk cheers Paul PS: If not done by tomorrow morning, feel free to badger me as I could forget !
  3. Pete's Tope is now on the main page. When Jim gets his Bass on here it will be main pic next and if there are any other pics people want featured let me know.
  4. I have updated the main site navigation pages. A few "tweaks" to do still :- 1) Add nav bar to the forum page 2) Get fishing reports pages working properly 3) Add nav bar to those pages which havent got one yet. Any other updates you would like to see ? Any comments on what is there already ?
  5. I thought I was doing well, then heard of James's Bass captures. Helen liked the look of the way the Smoothhound fought and decided to switch from mackeral bait to squid. The result was first drop a nice 13 lb 4 oz ( and that was def. the min weight ! ) Smoothhound.
  6. Then a nice 9lb Thornback Ray
  7. To start the thread :- My 8 lb 8 oz Smoothhound
  8. Charlie, In simple terms. I haven't a clue at the moment how to do it !! I have the same problem. One useful tip is that you can click the Blue circle next to a forum category with ipb in it to tell the system that you have read all posts ion that category, that's what I do.
  9. Hits to the site as a whole are also at record levels. I am also working on a better front page design. Coming to a screen near you soon !!
  10. Adam, We had 3-4 the other afternoon but much more sheltered in the Solent. I am so glad I didn't decide to try the ledge.
  11. Here is the picture ( not too good as I was envious and it was taken on my phone )

  13. Bob, You should find that NEO is very familiar with the Matrix
  14. MIke, Will take you up on that please. Will discuss on Sunday OK ?
  15. Charlie, Sorry for the delay in replying ( lack of telegraph pole ! ). If Martin's tip doesnt work then you may find that you need to change settings regarding storage of cookies on your PC or settings with regard to temporary internet files settings. Let me know if there is still a problem. Paul
  16. Thank god I've got a 4 stroke engine
  17. Paul, Yes we can do this, but will be a few days as I have a huge backlog of work at the moment ( BT decided to take our telephone telegraph pole down for two days !! )
  18. Fished out of Lymington yesterday ( Wed ) and also found Mackeral rather obliging ( 2 drifts and filled bait box ). Wind had picked up to Force 4 and was with the tide, so got over to the "Smoothie" spot in record quick time ( for Neo anyhow ! ). Fished for around 3 hours and we had Smoothhound on squid to 7 llb ( I took a carp fishing friend from work who caught his first smoothy. He was just asking how to tell what the bite would be like when his rod bent double !! ) I was fishing mackeral fillet on another rod and caught just the one fish on it all afternoon - the one dogfish. We had hundreds of bites all afternoon - still finding it difficult to hook up with many of them. Any tips ?? Bit choppy coming back as wind was now against tide, but been in worst. Only downside was clipping the pontoon and taking a chunk out of the bow when wading over with the boat whilst launching.
  19. Bob, Can you add Elaine D ( jnr ) as confirmed please. ( As in Yes / No ). cheers Paul
  20. BUT - Ran once and now refuses to run again. Obviously a bit naff coding here I think !! ( Uninstall and re-install even fails to make it work. weird ! )
  21. Whilst following the link to Brian's website, I noted a link to a propellor size calculation program on Castle Marine's website. Downloaded and ran the program - It is superb ( Must get the calcs myself and write a program as well ). Anyhow, I know why my boat doesnt reach 21 knots now Propellor Pitch Calculator
