  1. I think you may be (un) pleasantly surprised Bob !! I had a permit for the last three years to fish Stanpit ( well below Wick ) -
  2. Added the latest fish reports to the front page. ( I have collated them from the reports within the catch reports section of the forum. ) I will update this at regular/irregular intervals ( dependant upo9n my workload/enthusiasm ! )
  3. James, Also not forgetting the fresh water licence + permit to fish
  4. I think you only get it if you download the dialler software from some dodgy XXX website hmmmm Seriously, it is one that gets downloaded from a web site and you should ensure that you have settings in Internet Explorer to prompt for "Download signed Active X controls" and either prompt or disable for "Download unsigned active X controls". If then, whilst browsing, you are prompted to download and install a control think very very carefully before clicking on "Yes" !!
  5. Bob, Sorry for messing you around, I will now be a Yes/Yes ( as Southend is the following week - some reason I thought the SPECIMEN Hunt was the following week ) Helen will be a Yes/No. I need to get Helen's comp entry fee to you sometime. ( Also might have daughter fishing comp but needs to join as a junior - I will pay her entry fee on Sunday also ). Martin/Bob, Can my daughter join the club and I will pay on Sunday please ? Elaine - DOB 16 July 1991 cheers Paul
  6. Adam,, This is details of the problem you have. It is the 1to1 dialler software. 1to1 dialler
  7. Martin, Yes please, I also have a shiny landing net with no netting
  8. Adam, Download this program ( adaware ) and it will scan for "spyware". It will then remove it for you. Adaware Did you download any file sharing programs in the past ( IMesh, Kazaar etc ).
  9. HAd a great day out. It was a choice between Lymington and Wick. Decided to lauch from Wick as it was 11:00 AM and I figured that Lymington would be a) Packed and would have to pay to launch Launched using Helen's HRV - tows boat fine and launching / retrieval is a breeze. Helen and my daughter Elaine were onboard, so decided to head off towards "X-Ray" and drifted for mackeral first - we had plenty every drop - all small joeys, just what Paul J would have wanted !! Tied up to a buoy and fished the last of the flood and then the start of the ebb. I had dogfish after dogfish and then lost a good bream, but we were fishing mackeral fillet on largish hooks, so UI was suprised to hook into one at all. So dogfish all round for me. Elaine had a number of doggies + a dead small bream. Helen had a field day !! - numerous dogfish, one reasonable sized bream, one cuttle fish !! and a 9 lb Thornback ray which took a lot of lifting ( fortunatley the tide wasn't running fast at that time ). Photo to come as it is on my phone at the moment. All fish returned alive. Brownie points bag is now overflowing and my daughter wants to join as a junior member again Oh and also saw the Red Arrows fly past.
  10. No problem, I am pleased that the rolling banner at th top draws attention. I need to get an improved fishing reports page but I can only report what has been reported ( if you get my drift ! ).

    Hi all

Andy, Did you find the forum via the "latest News" link on the Stingray catch or was it from the front page of the site or by other means ?
  12. Adam, If you are out on Wednesday, I will see you out there. Planning on a trip Wednesday afternoon/evening , provided I can get away from work.
  13. Web site updated. Bit small though isn't it. "Only" 53.0 % of the specimen weight, so no good for the specimen comp I have added the picture to the members fish pages and also the front page of the site is updated ( Perhaps you can get James to go there first )
  14. I have downloaded pictures from my phone to the PC, but you will need to use a laptop or a PC with an infra red port. If you have a laptop with infra red read on. If not then you will have to send yourself an e-mail with the picture in ( gets pricey )! Assuming your phone is a nokia then you should be able to select Settings from the menu and then select infrared You can then select "view folders" from the gallery and open your photos folder. Select the photo you want to send and from options select "send" then point the phone at your laptop ( ensure that the laptop infrared reception is enabled - not sure how to do this off top of my head ) and then select "via infrared" on the phone. Your picture will then be sent to the laptop and saved in your received files folder. If you haven't got a laptop then to send the picture to an e-mail account, select "view folders" in the gallery, then select your photos folder, open the picture you want to send, then select options and then select "send" then select "via multimedia". Then select Options then select "send to e-mail". Enter the e-mail address you want to send the picture to and then select OK to send. Easier to buy a cheap digital camera
  15. Bob, I am going to have to switch to being Yes / No ( as in Yes fishing on Fri and/or Sat but unable to make Sunday as off to Southend ).

All the boat's details are on their web site. 30 million pounds worth - glad I didn't run into it then !! Apparently it was supposed to go on Saturday but its launch was delayed due to the weather ( weird as Sunday was rougher than Saturday ). Anyhow, the boat is a little too big to qualify for the fishing club. Mirabella website

As the weather was good yesterday I took my sister in law out on the boat. Launched from Lymington ( cost me this time
  21. Charlie, Could you add my Thornback Ray into the book as well please. 7 lb 8 oz. That is my PB as well. Also caught my first ever smoothies, but didn't weigh any of them ( either of them ! ). Lost countless numbers.
  22. Had some good smoothhound sport today in the Solent. Here is Mike with one that almost got away !! ( Unfortunately the piccie of mine is not available due to a slight technical hitch - camera was on wrong setting when taken - typical ! ). Must go Smoothound fishing again - well wicked. Also had a nice Thornback ray of 7 lb and a smaller one. Mike had a red bream of around 2 oz ( would be a club record though ! ).
