    Its Here

Simon, Happy to crew if you are looking for some. Alternatively, happy to be a buddy boat if needed.
  2. Enjoy the monent Mike but it isn't going to last long Two rays to me today. 10lb 8 oz Thornback and 8lb 4 oz Small Eyed Ray. Thought I was doing well until Dan was seen to haul in a very nice thornback ray which was a PB for him. I will announce the size when other results are in.

Thanks Charlie. Christchurch it is then

    Sunday

Certainly. I am fishing with a friend who used to live up the road.

    - Space now taken.

    Sunday

Still need crew for Sunday. Looking to fish from either Lymington or Wick. Only thing is I am on call, so a return if called out is a possibility ( but hopefully a remote one ! )
  7. If I can get crew then I am in. If not then off to the car boot sale to clear some junk ! Anyone want to crew ??
  8. The Specimen Comp is rescheduled to the 13th July. The family Day afloat has been rescheduled to August 10th. Those intending to fish can book in here. I shall start off :- NEO and crew ( Paul R ? )

Looks a really nice boat Simon. I guess you are hoping that the test is to "nearly" capsize and not to successfully capsize
  10. E-Tec 40HP
  11. It was in line with quoted costs - all
  12. Had my engine in for its first service. I have clocked up 214 Engine hours. I will have to compare charts with PJ Now for another 3 years.
  13. Terry, Regarding connecting to the coax on the ICOM. Your suggestion is exactly the way I did it. The -ve / earth connected to the sheath and the +ve / signal connected to the inner. Works for me.

    Inner peace

Worked it out but no longer in a state of "Inner Peace" !!
  15. on the other hand - probably not going to be an issue as just looked at the forecast and looks rather touch and go. If I do go it will be a Solent for Smoothies/Bass
  16. Looks ideal for plugging for bass - I can see why PJ likes it
  17. Terry, I will second the ICOM decision. Had no problems with mine and they have a high build quality. I am sure you won't regret the decision.
  18. No crew for Neo Anyone interested or anyone offering a place to crew ?
  19. Was the "unfortunately" because the fishing was poor - It was well rought though and unfortunately had to go to Plymouth the next day, so couldn't stay out past dark. 2 Small Eyed Ray to me and Paul dropped a bass on his Hokkais. Teaming with Mackeral though.
  20. Paul, I would be up for a Late afternoon / evening fishing session on Neo if you fancy going out of Christchurch and maybe fish into the evening for an eel or two ?
  21. The BASS catch and release trophy is up for grabs again and the largest released bass is currently a cracking fish of 13lb 4oz ( which by the way was the lowest weight having been weighed 5 times ). I will shortly be compiling a league table of the largest fish released by PBSBAC members to date.

    Saturday

Will keep an eye on the weather but have to agree I didn't realise it looked that bad.

    Saturday

Weather willing, I am tempted to go for a launch from Lymington after Smoothhounds and Bass or possibly a jaunt to the ledge for some Bass and Bream. Anyone interested as I need crew.
  24. Just noted 4 forum members have their birthday today. Happy Birthday Alun J, Bob F, Cascars and Domino
  25. No way ! If conger and Bull Huss were banned then I would have only Bream to go for inshore ( although I like the Mullet idea ) Mind you I have yet to catch a decent Bull Huss but they are there as my companion a couple of trips back caught one which would have been well up the ranks for the comp. I say ban anything that Alfresco has a chance of catching ( unless I am fishing on her of course )
