  1. Many thanks all. Had a nice meal out and got another solid c rod tom add to the collection.
  2. Charlie, When you try to save them form paint are you still opening the folder from your phone ? If so - try copying the files from the phone into a folder on your PC and then open them from there.

    Speed

Moved to "in the news" - Maybe a better category than catch reports ?
  4. Have a 40HP E-Tec and been pleased with it to date. Couple of small niggles but nothing which would prevent me recommending one. Yes they are noisier idling and at slow speed though. At speed not much in it and the fuel economy is awesome. ( Performance is pretty awesome as well ). Service cost was half the price of my old Honda and was exactly the amount quoted earlier in this post. ( same people / person as well )
  5. I thought Pete Russell Snr was highest at 7th place ? ( or was that the previous months mag ? )
  6. Accepted a trip on Bass Gas and had a really nice day out. Thought we weren;t going to get out at first when Lee had trouble starting the engine but all sorted OK and we were off though the run which was well choppy - enough to get the rudder hitting bottom... Then headed for some mackeral which were scarce before heading for X-Ray. As the tide turned the sea was getting rougher by the minute so after clearing the area of dogfish we headed in close to try for some Triggerfish. Garry seemed to be catching triggers for fun and they really go well on the light tackle. I then managed a few myself the best which I managed to land and weigh coming in at 2lb 4oz but I lost the biggest trying to lift it with the trace Lee managed a Bass and bream. A great end to a really pleasant day despite the horrible easterly. Many thanks for having me onboard.
  7. Need some crew now - anyone up for fishing out of Christchurch or interested in letting me crew for them let me know 07887 875964 cheers Paul
  8. oops - no its not a link - I also had put todays date instead of Sundays date - doh ! ---------------------------------- So booking in :- Neo with myself
  9. I did register for the comp but having had a cold earlier in the week and then fishing all day on the Saturday with Tomo on Just Purfik I was not in a fit state to fish on the Sunday. Saturday though managed 2 bass and 2 gar on lures plus the 4 mackeral and that was only fishing for around 45 mins with lures, so could have done OK I think. Great fishing on Just Purfik on the Saturday and I even managed to lose a real nice fish which would have easily been my biggest lure caught bass to date. - I will be back out to get him another day Want a Pirate 21 now !
  10. Book in here for the Flatfish and Ray Competition. I shall be fishing on Neo out of Christchurch with work colleague Steve ( Could have gone on Alfresco but I am on call so have to stay within return to land range ).
  11. Or even better, go to the home page and look in the sponsors frame on the RHS ?
  12. Done - also you can join his forum. Checkout this post from earlier. If John Wilson was allegedly psd before then imagine what he is now ! ============================ Norwich Evening News | 25 July 2008 16:51 Strenuous attempts are to be made to persuade terrestrial television stations to screen angling again. Angling bosses were expecting a new programme on Channel Five involving the famous award winning camera man Hugh Miles and big fish angler Martin Bowler, a relative of Norfolk's own TV celebrity John Wilson. Unfortunately the programme has been pulled in favour of a different four part series involving the well known actor Robson Green. John Wilson, who screened 108 programmes in his Go Fishing series said he was speechless that the TV company had favoured a celebrity ahead of Hugh Miles' eight-parter that was filmed over a four and a half year period.
  13. Welcome Steve and I am sure you will find plenty of advice and help from all the members here.
  14. Well that is arguable. If you want to get the quotas increased then how about trawling in an area where you know a large "bycatch" of cod might occur when you so happen to have a TV crew onboard...... ( allegedly ) !
  15. For those that missed it and want to see just how bad the 2nd episode was :- Extreme ..... Note : I cant get this player to work at the moment.
  16. I have just realised. The TV Programme has exactly the same title as a fishing video I once gave away for a club raffle. I actually felt sorry for Dean when he selected the DVD in preference to some beer / wine etc. ( It was actually worst than the TV programme ). I wonder - Did Martin get the DVD as a birthday present later on in the year ?
  17. Agreed, I thought it gave all the wrong messages to be honest. Especially holding up a carp and saying what a beautiful fish it was - despite the hole through the middle where it had been speared and was it me, but they then threw the fish into a container without even dispatching it first.

  19. I've seen that before, but had forgotten how big that fish was - shocked me to see it again
  20. It was a fun days fishing and thinking about it we really should have weighed your Bull Huss ( cant believe I failed to do that ! ). Shall definitely have to do it again sometime soon.
  21. Simon, Preferably not 1024 x 768 as that is too big a size to display in a forum post. This causes the postings and site to then not fit on a 1024 x 768 screen ( as can be seen in this very post ).
  22. Actually, I thought the programme was quite entertaining ( even if it was a bit cheesy in places ). It is worth noting that it managed to keep my son watching for the whole programme ( which for a "fishing programme" is quite a feat ). The "oops I dropped the fish you caught for dinner" was a bit of a set up mind ! Entertaining enough though for me to phone PJ to tell him there was some programme with some guys floating down a river in bouyancy aids whilst plugging
  23. Yes we were out there anchored next to Shogun. i was going to post a similar message re. cod mark as well
  24. Some cracking photos there Charlie. I must remember to take the camera with me tomorrow ( today even ! ).
  25. It was a nice days fishing and good company. Shame the wind got up as I am sure we would have tweaked a fish or two out, but that's fishing for you. ( After all was never going to reproduce the success of the previous trip )
