  5. Alun Jones had largest fish. Adam has exact weights. Second place was Tom Smith I think and Peter Hall had a good fish. Small Fry had battery problems and just missed the weigh-in but their fish was smaller than Alun J's. Jo Jo also weighed a fish in. I will leave for Adam to post exact details.
  6. Rob, You are correct. 2 people in boat but not necessary for both to be club members ( although you have to be a club member to fish the comp. )
  7. That sounds an interesting experiment Paul. I would be up to trying to tie the strongest knot ( but don't expect to win though ).
  8. Get well soon Dan.
  9. 12lb 8oz cod to PJ on AWOL and some nice whiting to 2lb 8oz plus a spotted ray. We were then circled by a trawler pulling up his net. Eventful trip back as AWOL had engine problems, so towed back to Poole by Serenity. Lovely weather to be out and thanks for the trip martin.
  10. I think it is great seeing all these cod whilst sitting in a mail centre on the outskirts of london and our planned trip tomorrow woulde have been perfectly timed but weather has stopped that

The bridge was actually fine, slight chop but nothing more than that.

Very wise decision Jim. Saturday was fine but the forecast was for increasing wind / rain from the east in the afternoon. As we could see the weather front approaching from the east and the wind was increasing we left early at 1PM and was certainly the right choice. Also, much easier going out from Lymington as we had wind with tide all the way back, I certainly would not want to have been punching my way back to Christchurch or Poole. Due to offshore wind though conditions off the Needles were quite fishable, but today I wouldn't have wanted to be out there.

Martin, We are heading out on Neo on Saturday ( Lymington launch ). Forecast states sea state slight and wind is NNE, so hoping for some shelter from the island. Going to be cold though ! Give me a call and I will let you know how many cod we have
  14. Planning on going out on Saturday but will be launching from Lymington to fish around the Needles. ( Weather looks like will be cold but offshore wind so hoping to get some shelter from the island. ) Launching around 7:30 from Lymington if you are trailing.
  15. Could well be up for a trip on Saturday or Sunday, weather depending
  16. Hopefully get some more bidders, but I need to sell as have no space left, so started the bidding realistically low. Is the guide a "pre credit crunch" one though !

  19. Still for sale ( anyone would think there is a recession or something ! ). I have put this on E-Bay now with a starting price of
