  7. Hi all I got confirmation that im in the BFM final It's to be held in Guernsey on Saturday 29th of October aboard Richard Seager's "Out of the Blue" based in St Peters Port. My ferry crossing, food and accommodation, bait and the boat is all being paid for by the Guernsey Tourist Board Its going to be a long trip - 3 days! We meet a 6am on Friday in Weymouth to catch the ferry. Then Friday and Saturday night we stay at the Ambassador Hotel. Then the ferry back is not until 9.15pm sunday, so there's plenty of time to look around the Island . The final is going to be fished on the drift and at anchor with the main species being Bream, flatfish, wrasse, pollock, dogs!,and bass. All bait is going to be provided and its fishing for points on a catch and release basis. Wish me luck James

  15. Thanks guys . Great news Charlie . Hadn't seen the results yet , I'll start makeing space on the drive!
  16. Trevor, I too found your trial interesting, I wouldn't have thought rainbows tolerated salt water as i'm more used to using them for winter pike bait!. But saying that there so good for pike because there constantly swimmimg and working the water, so it figures that if they could handle saltwater they would make good bass bait They're not alone, Tilapia from Africa are a freshwater fish and they can take fresh to sea water in their stride also! But most fish would die instantly. Wouldn't mind a trial with those trout myself Trevor James
