Well, Ive spent longer washing the boat down today, than we had fishing in it!

Well what can I say, It wasnt our day, I was gutted that the range boat kicked us off, all that way for a few minutes fishing It was just comeing on to the slack and just as the eels started to feed and It was lines up . On the bright side what we lost on fuel we saved on bait, paul and I used 1 cuttle on the wreck and 1 mackrel and 4 squid on the banks!!! Shambles for the next trip I think.

Ive worked with fish all my life And look through hundreds of fish lists every week,in latin and english and the closest i can get is Kirk's Nothobranchius, a pretty little killifish from Africa Or Kirk's blenny from oman Or several Koi varietys that sound like they start and end in "k" eg...Kanako kohaku kin ki kujaku Youve got me stumped James

I should have gone for the Conger club trophy for catching and landing a conger on your own. On thursday I netted my 45lber on my own! !(Adam was playing anouther eel) It took a few attempts but I got him in the end

Im still not convinced on the circle hook, I have a few in my box but there still in unopened packets! I think I will try a few for the bream this year ,but I will stick to the regular type for the conger. Have you ever tried T barring a conger at the side of the boat with a circule hook? I did on thursday and It was near on impossible !! James
