Taidermist is what you want, but I'd prefer to llook at a photo, and leave them swimming Kam. Rich
  3. PJ.........try a secure location under cover, and dont advertis eon here........this may be where thay are looking for engines to steal, the forum is full of inadvertant locations of tackle, boats trailers etc etc. Hope all is well, sorry to hear about your experience. Rich
  4. Duncan, late Brill and Turbot are still showing on the banks in Weymouth, although the trawlers are working them. Sole have showed up early on the Solent marks that usually produce the later sole then the Barton on Sea marks. The Brittish record was boated from this mark late oct last year, by Dink, I believe. Stingray are still abundant close inshore on both mainland side and Island side of the Solent, fish to 48lb still being taken on bunches of rag, although hours of darkness are best fishing times for these beasts, coupled with neaps........which we have this weekend As BBD says, flounder have yet to show in numbers in Poole Harbour, although Mark and I did see a few drifting in the Swash yesterday. Hope this helps. Rich
  5. With a third trip to Florida on the board for thanksgiving, I'll have to decline the offer this time round Adam, although the previous trips were crackers. Rich
  6. Mark and I took Nipper out for her first spin yesterday, and she appeared to be revving slightly high. We discussd this during our short sortie, and thought it may be the prop. She handled well, seas were slight, we managed around 25 knts, but seemed to be over revving. Something we need to look at Rich
  7. ............................not to mention the dodgey shirtlifter Cracking report with two fine, fine fish. I'm off to Weymouth this AM, as you can see from the stupid o clock time of posting, hoping for a bar or two in the last of the tides this week. Well done guys. Rich
  8. I'll Pm Reg, and let him know he can launch from Poole, I'm sure he can buddy up with someone down there. Mark and I are going to launch Nipper on the saturday afternoon, have a mooch about to see how the electronics package is working out, then nip back into harbour, mooor up, met my old chutney ferret mate BB, get bladda'd, have a huge curry, then sleep over on the boat, ready for early doors sunday. I have to meet up with Reg as I have some bits and pieces for him, anyhow. Rich

    Electrics

Jonno.........Bob F is the guy for electrics. Have a search through historic threads as this has been covered exhaustively by a few of the guys who have had to re wire boats. Adam F has also done his from top to bottom and front to back......so he is also worth a PM......both jolly good eggs by the way. Rich

    Spike Week

Kam, if you have a definate date, and I am off work, Im in. Spike is an excellent bloke, a great skipper, and in my humble opinion, we should all try and support this gesture to him and his family in these difficult times. Rich

Perhaps this may be a beneficiary from the club open comp???? Any views?? Rich
  16. Oooooooooooops, almost turned up alone for a second time!!! Fishing was slow, water temp wa too high for most stuff, at 82 degrees!! I did take balck grouper, spotted sea trout red drum ladyfish and blue fish amoungst other small stuff, but all in all, was excellent. Ive been invited back over to spend Thanksgiving with Rich and jean in Tampa, Rich' brother is bringing his boat up from lower down the coast, so I guess it would be rather rude not to go!!!! Cant venture out fro todays comp, as I have to work , but tight lines to all, good luck Paul D in the league. Hopefully Mark will be taking Nipper out. Rich
