Adam, they are a unit, a little like a bolt that you can undo/tighten with the appropriate sized socket or ring spanner. Loosen off the old ones, then replace em with the new ones, so the trailer is uniform. When you have replaced the old ones, grease up again in the usual manner to ensure lubrication. A litle bit like the old style bleed valves on brakes.........easy peasy. Regards, Rich
-
interesting reading Paul.....especially their views on LSD's...just as well for us that they do grow slow and produce few young, or else we would be inundated with 'em!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rich
-
Adam, you should be able to get hold of a kit to change the size of your nips from anywhere like Pirtek........they supply hydraulic hoses, they're not expensive, and will convert your gun into a more usefull tool Hydraulics.............theres a thing..... whats the difference between a digger and a giraffe??????? One has hydraulics, the other has high ******s of course!!! Regards, Rich

Mikey...............I always thought that the literal translation was Honest sweat makes smelly pants...........must be wrong!!!!! Rich
-
Alan, apparently there is a shallow dip just off the coastline quite close in, the sole congregate there, fish with worm into darkness. A sole ounces off the |British record was caught two weeks ago at night............the fish was really black in colour, and caught on worm. Best times are fast approaching, fish through august, anywhere from Lepe along Taddiford, and Barton. Regards, Rich
-
Same here Coddy, I took the boys down to Lepe Beach, (opposite Gurnard on the Isle of Wight), to try for the big Bass that abound the entrance to Beaulieau River.........no chance, the weed was attrocious, even for this time of year, so we wrapped it in and had a Barbie, (Q not doll!!!!!), instead!!! Rich
-
Indeed yes Mikey...............a little like the mess, as food supplies were awfully slow............and no fresh eggs, veggies, bread etc.......sometimes the best thing to do was go for a dive under the ice on a jolly with the submariners..........crumbs they must have no sense of smell!!!!!!! Great sea trout fishing though, used to flog em to the officers mess.............thats where me beer tokens came from!! Ah..............those were the days Regards, Rich
-
James, if you need a crewman for the sole, give me a bell, the boys fly back tonight, so I;m free from tomorrow (Wed) onwards, Cheers Rich

Mikey, whist serving down in the Falklands, during my rough tough and hard to bluff years, we used to walk along "Whalebone Beach", a stretch of coastline where all dead whales down in the SA seemed to get washed up. The shoreline was strewn with huge triangular whale vertabrae, which seemed years and years old. So it appears that the carcass floated till eaten by killer whales, then drifted with the currents till it found its resting place. Maybe this is what happens in the Northern Hemisphere, they all end up over in Skatesville! Regards, Rich

Ok Adam, the digging situation down at Lepe is first class at the moment, let me know the proposed day, I'll dig the day before, as rag coming out of Poindesters is a little drippy at the moment. I might try the small bream method if we can catch any. Will persue the precise numbers too!!!! Rich PS...................The new club record is out there !!!!!!!! PPS................. Apparently............my name is on it
-
Paul, were you fishing the flood or ebb???? One mark at the back of the Island fishes best on the flood, we also had great results on feathers of all things!!!!! Rich
-
Adam, I'll take the old mixture off your hands, my machines use two stroke mix at 50/1, so I'm sure I can add oil to it to bring it up to my levels. Ive got two, two stroke cans, and can take 10 litres a time, will speak on thursday, if not before. Rich

Mikey, how effective are these solar panels for re-charging 12v batteries???? Ta muchly, Rich
-
Adam, sorry I can't join you..............at least, not till after tuesday next week. If its any consolation, the mark you have for your stinger produced 5 the other evening....................largest smashed your club record byover 25lbs!!!!! So............theyre IN!!!!!!!!! fancy a stint next week on a hot evening??? Bait was ragworm again. See you sat..................Rich

Charlie.........my boys fly back home to Ireland Tuesday next week, so I'll be available for crew. I'd like another crack at those eels James and I didnt get last time afloat on Great white!! Regards, Rich

Adam, for the cost of replacement bearings, while you have the thing open, you may as well replace the whole lot, then you know what condition the brake shoes and bearings are in, replacements will be in the region of a tenner a pair, take your hub in with you, they will measure the inner diameter etc........it will save youin the long run, if you drive into the sea as often as you do, its really worth replacement annually.................how much does it cost for a tow these days?????? Regards, Rich
-
Cheers Pete, James, when I come over to sort out your tree, I'll chat to you about it, ok?? Rich
-
I cant find a supplier up this end of the solent Adam, thats why I'm going to trek down and buy a tank full, then re-sell excess eeels to make the journey worthwhile. If my system keeps em alive for a few days, I can collect fresh sea water from the quay nearby, so I dont see why they wont still be swimming when needed Regards, and well done on the comp, Rich
-
Cheers Mikey..................I'll give BB a bell to see where he gets his from, and grab a tub full for next time I'm out. I just want to see if the eels make a difference to my Bass catches, as opposed to just using joeys. I think I'm out next week again, so will get some for then, if anyone wants live eels next week, I'll get a tank full. Rich
-
Mikey.................would that be where the world ends, and you fall off if you go over the sea wall??
-
James.....two very good Rays, what's the club record for small eyed??????? And yes very spawney on live mackeral, however, you cant be spawney every time you fish, i think its consisitently good angling...............now, when can we get out next, Jimbob!!!! Rich

Hiya Paul..................shame you guys couldnt see the fire works in our living room when I asked Debs if I could fish today!!!!!!!!! <Joke of course> Rich
