Thanks chaps......what a stunning day [makes a pleasant change !!] ..if a bit breezy. Just lighting up the barbie for a family evening. Deb and I had smashing day out in Purbeck.....pub lunch and a long walk over Ballard Down ... fantastic visibilty today; so amazing panorama from the top. Out fishing for next couple of days... as forecast is good. Cheers, Alun.

Honestly.........I had had worse injuries in the garden with thorns !! I have a little red mark on my pinky, a tingly sore patch but no bruising or swelling. Thanks to Ian for applying the pressing and Adam for the pull.....and it pinged out !! ....don't know where that big hook went to ?? Def think we should demo this at a club evening.....plus ways of doing it solo. The only other time.......I spent a long wait in A&E. I 'm sure a few chicken drumsticks could be pretend fingers ! Back to the fishing...... Amazing day of weather contrasts and fishing contrasts........one wreck with plenty of fish [ albeit not great sizes] and others nearby with nothing. Thanks for another memorable trip on JV

Forecast for whole of the 48 hrs is looking horrible, with strong SW winds !! [.....there goes another Alderney excursion !!] Will the comp be postponed if forecast sticks ??

Right.........it's now Wednesday and the forecast is holding steady for a windy weekend..then calm !! Are there enough amongst us who can 'flex' to go later......... Sunday or Mon and have a few calm days seeking those flatties .....tides are also a bit smaller! Alun.

That would suit me !! .......anyone going to take me ??

Charlie......I'm only the crew, but will be doing some nudging soon !! With Sunday and Mon to look forward to, we'll just have to think of a plan for Sat. Yes.......an early start on Fri would be a good call if we can get there before the wind builds Alun.

Any thoughts this morning ??? Fri and Sat both looking windy ........ I'd be up for going later and coming back later !! .....but I know JV and skipper can't do that !! If things stay as today's forecast.....and we went Fri [early to avoid worst of wind] we would be going with the sea [ not so bumpy!]...be sitting around Sat , before having two nice days Sun and Mon.
