Agreed.......the weekend window has closed right up and make the Alderney trip unfeasible !!
Not to be outdone, JV and crew will be heading West on Sat morning, to take advantage of the N breeze that should be dropping away. A day around the Shambles and into Portland overnight.
Sat's form will dictate Sunday's plan.....but it looks like window is closing more amd will preclude offshore wrecking.........but it is an option.
Anyone else want to buddy up ??
Hi All......with the current forecast, I think JV is looking to go across on Fri afternoon; hopefully with a following sea. This will give us the evening in Alderney, a decent night's kip and full days fishing Sat and Sun.
Any others thinking the same........or are we looking at Sat ??
I see everyone's keeping quiet over the weather forecast !!
I think things will be settling over the weekend as High Pressure builds.
Should get a following breeze to push us across [??].
Sat onwards keeps changing.......but fingers crossed.
Too good to be true ???
Had a peek at Metcheck [ notoriously hopeless at this range !!] .......after yesterday giving gales and frost [!!]........now giving Northerly winds easing through next week, to leave a gentle N to take us there; light breezes for the weekend and a gentle Southerly tp bring us back !!
They must be picking up Adam's brainwaves in their forecasts !!
You should have done your usual marks !!...... Southbourne was completely flat this morn..... with an off the shore NE breeze.........absolutely no surf or swell.
Tomorrow seems to give the only window for the week !! ....and it's looking better this evening than during the day today !!
I shall be out .... mostly trying for bream...... despite the poor reports.
Anyone else ????
Small tide......out with the ebb; in with the flood......I like that .... I can be very 'Eco-friendly' !!
Alun.
Count me in for the Harbour Lights on the Sun....... and the Moorings for the Sat.
I like the walk up the hill...... and enjoy a steak at the Marais Hall; so that will be my preferred option for the Fri.
