  1. I would love to join you all but it will depend on me getting my boat ready and having had a few successful trips out beforehand. There are other considerations too but having a seaworthy boat must come first
  2. She's gone to a very excited guy with a scouse accent .... We had a little jolly in the harbour then we went to the bank, he drew the pound notes out and gave them to me then I put them straight back into my bank so there was no worries about counterfiet notes or anything. Part of me was sad to see her go, but hopefully my new one will make up for it in a few weeks time
  3. beautiful .....
  4. Bless
  5. You need Haskins rather than Cobbs!!
  6. I wouldnt mind betting you're not far off there Martin.
  7. Agreed Derek .... they would not have been kept on Little Sal either (even if they were all that was caught).
  8. It is an Essex charter Matt. Colchester area. Some of their write ups mention that 15lB Cod are the biggest they get. (some may say that's hardly surprising if they take them all before they get chance to grow )
  9. I totally agree Rob .... a pretty anti fishing photograph if ever there was one!
  10. A slight difference in fuel bills too
  11. You must be a very very excited boy Tomo ..... she looks AWESOME!!!
  12. They do Rob, but this is in case I decide to move from Rockley. I may just let them put it on their cradles until I decide whether its staying there or not but if I could find a trailer at the right price I would have it.
  13. As I am selling Little Sal complete with trailer I am on the lookout for a replacement trailer to carry my new boat. I am led to believe I would need 2 ton load capacity. I would have thought a twin axle, braked trailer would be required (brakes working may not be so important as it will be in a boat yard, certainly at first anyway). Before I start bidding wars on ebay is there anyone on here that either has one for sale or knows of one for sale? Thanks Graham
  14. I know that some of the comments here have been posted slightly in jest but ...... concerning the legality of razor blades round the electrics (and glass on the top of a wall) Offences (criminal) committed? None, but the householder/boat owner could be sued for damages under the Occupier
  15. A woman in her fifties went to a plastic surgeon for a face lift. The surgeon told her about a new procedure called "The Facelift Knob," where a small knob is placed on the top of a woman's head. It can be turned to tighten up her skin to produce the effect of a brand new face lift. Of course the woman wanted "The Facelift knob." ...Over the course of the years, the woman tightened the facelift knob and the effects were wonderful. The woman remained young looking and vibrant. After fifteen years, the woman returned to the surgeon with two problems. "All of these years, everything has been working just fine. I have turned the facelift knob many times and have been very pleased with the results. But now, I've developed two annoying problems. First, I have these terrible bags under my eyes and the knob won't get rid of them. " The doctor looked at her closely and said, "Those aren't bags, those are your breasts." She said, "Well, I guess there's no point in asking about the goatee."
  16. then you WOULD get sued lofty!
  17. Lets hope the b45t4rds dont hurt themselves while trying to break off the padlock .... i'd hate them to sue you for their injuries!!
  18. Thats where we put the women Matt
  19. enjoying it ...... ish Cant wait to get her in the water to see how she handles.
  20. They are large "tanks" Rob. One will be a live bait well and the other will be my anchor store. I hope this explains better than me
  21. Right ..... after many happy hours working in the freezing cold and wind I have made some progress. The rotten floor and ribs were completely cut away and the ribs were reinforced as required. A new floor of 18mm ply was cut and fitted then 2 layers of fibreglass was put on the whole floor, tying it all into the hull. This bit was done in freezing conditions and unfortunately freezing conditions, fibreglass and inexperience ended up taking MUCH longer than anticipated and the end result was not as good as I had hoped but it is water tight and functional so its better than when I started . The electrics has been started in the cabin but I am visiting Little Sal tomorrow to remove all of her electronics and I will carry on with that in the coming weeks. The floor was painted again in freezing conditions .... so cold it took 5 days for it to dry!!!! A phone call to Charlie during the week put me in touch with " a friend of the club" who gave me some discount on the required paints and a hatch (that I bought as a sample). Thanks for that Charlie. Today we have fitted the hatch, painted the cabin inside and outside, painted the hull and most of the woodwork. The dashboard and the stern is the only bit that still needs structural work as we had to cut some of it away today to get to the 2 fuel tanks. So its just the engine well and the fuel tanks, remainder of the electrics and fit the engine and steering and then we ARE OFF
  22. I have two large inboard stainless fuel tanks in my project and the fitting at the top of the tank (where the fuel pipe connects to) was completely corroded and knackered. Does anyone know what it is called and where I might get one? Or would it be easier to get a stainless pipe made up and fit a non return valve in line???
  23. It would seem that Little sal is moving to The Wirral I stuck it on ebay yesterday as a "classified ad" (costing
  24. After being with my woman for 32 years, I took a careful look at her one day and said, "Thirty two years ago we had a cheap house, a junk car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10-inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 18-year-old girl. Now ... I have a

    Old Farmer

An old farmer had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back forty, had it fixed up nice; picnic tables, horseshoe courts, basketball court, etc. The pond was fixed for swimming when it was built. One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end of the pond. One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!" The old man replied, "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim or make you get out of the pond, I only came to feed my alligators." Old age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill every time!
