  1. looks like you could be right Andy http://www.yellowfinmarine.co.uk/boats_for..._id=YELL%201157 exactly the same as mine but longer.
  2. Rob, the bilges can be seen through the hatches, there is no foam. As for the name we were thinking "Fishin impossible" or "Reel Deal"
  3. Good Idea Charlie Its 20ft long. the floor has lots of raised hatches (which I intend on removing and fitting flush hatches). It has lots of other built in storage as well, so the deck should stay clear. Looking on the register of fishing boats from 2003 it would seem she was called "Mistress" and was registered as being 5.9 met 1.5 tons and having a 100hp engine. The seller tells me it was built by a commercial boat builder in Emsworth in the late 90's but I cant find anything on Google about any boat builders in Emsworth that may have built it. Unless you lot know different
  4. Thanks Mike .... I've not even seen this project in the water so I'm hoping it is as good a platform as Little Sal has been.
  5. Martin saw it being dragged to my place on Sunday but hopefully it will be out on the water in time for the Bream ... I didnt get the diesel Raider nor the one I agreed terms on (as the bloke selling it was a ...... well you know). The one I got has been sat on some guys drive in Hamworthy for the best part of 3 years. Dunno what it is but it was a commercial boat registered in Portland up till 2004 it's got masses of deck space and it weighs a ton & a half dry! I've got a Suzuki DF115 going on it so hopefully it will push it along nicely.
  6. NOW SOLD I've just bought a project and will be looking to move my Raider on. I know I will regret selling the Raider but if this new one is not as good then I can always flog it again and get another Raider. Anyway, its a 2006 Raider 18 wheelhouse with Evinrude etech 90. Engine was serviced early 2011 and it had about 50 odd hours on it. (I have computer print out available). I have possibly added another 100 hours to it this year?? So another 200 hours (or 2 years till next service is due). Top speed of about 30knotts and cruises easily at 20-24. I've used it for trips up to 30 miles out and it never misses a beat. Fishes 3 reasonably comfortably. The Electronics will be coming off (to be fitted to the new one) so its just the boat with nav lights, one fuel tank (around 35 litres I think), two battery setup, engine with guages etc, boarding ladder, aux bracket, twin wheel trailer (brakes have been removed as its only used in boat yard), new cover and a few rod holders. Possibly leave the radar arch on if the price is right. I paid 13500 for it a year and a half ago so make me a sensible offer and we may have a deal. Graham.
  7. So who decides what emergency they attend then Dave?? It could be said that anyone stupid enough to be out there in poor conditions, or in a poorly equiped vessel deserves anything they get ... fortunately thats not the mentality of the RNLI. And I certainly dont go out there "prepared to DIE", I go out there to enjoy a hobby happy with the knowledge that if the worst should happen there is someone out there who will be willing to help (so long as they know of my plight). Graham.
  8. I cannot even imagine 60ft seas!
  9. The link doesnt work Dave
  10. And what makes it even better is that she was released to tell the tale. Excellent fish and nice touch Kev, well done.

  13. I have just bought another hull Colin, if your not needing that 100 quid off I would buy it from you (I assume it's transferrable?).
  14. I had a cover by Wayne @ cutncover. Top notch, VERY quick, a fair price and a nice guy!
  15. So Court Jester will have a convoy of small fishing boats following him
  16. I'll crew for NIGEL if he wants anyone Only joking of course Nige (I'll just follow you very closely)
  17. well done lads ... As you know, I popped down before you all set off and I must say you lot are HARD CORE!!! My nice warm comfortable boat was sat on the land yet you lot were heading out into a very strong headwind to find shelter behind land some 3/4 of a mile away, but you were all happy that the "paddle back would be easy"! MAD but admirable. And a special WELL DONE to Dave for covering as the safety boat. Graham.
  18. that made me laugh out loud
  19. so it would seem ..... so we can all get back to talking rubbsh again
  20. Not a fan Derek?? Bob, surely you can see that you are "flogging a dead horse" here. You upset many with your earlier posts and there doesnt seem likely there is any way back for you. I personally was impressed with your passion but i find you TOO heavy and TOO political for my "hobby". Whether you throw things back or stock your freezer is your call, whether you want to lobby (or name call) people in power again is your call, but me? I will do things my way and carry on in blissful ignorance And I think the majority on here are the same. (Are they )
