  1. SSR registration just in case you have to call into a french port, I believe you need it for channel islands as well but that said I have never been asked for proof. Awol is ssr registered. I also dont' have the orginal bill of sale from new but do have the invoice from who I purchased the boat from so will look into that. Also should your engine play up, don't forget a complete set of belts, filters oils etc for running repairs . My engine importer do packs of vary degrees right up to a transatlantic pack that I'm told consists of an almost complete engine I won't be taking that one. Martin
  2. Awol will require about 300+ litres in total in two hits Martin
  3. Eeaarr you and I will have to have words Happy birthday Tom Martin

  8. Thanks guys for your good wishes (and you Jim ) Had a really good day. Went out for lunch with the kids and grandchildren all paid for by ere indoors Martin
  9. Bob that's really bad news, it means you will be entering more club comps and making it more difficult to win Sorry mate it really is a sign of the times and is bad news however dressed up I'm sure a bloke of your Kaliber (deliberate mispeling) will soon be gobbled up Good luck Martin
  10. Happy birthday Brian hope you have a goodun Martin
  11. Happy birthday guys Martin
  12. Guys some reading for you. Register your interexst on wsf and ask to be added to the private group where you can read even more. Martin BTW we are undecided how long we will stay, maybe the week maybe just a long week-end. All weather dependant
  13. June 20th-25th is the date for this years WSF meet in Weymouth Assuming the weather is ok AWOL will be going up for at least part of the week. Are there any other club members intending to go? Martin
  14. The heart has been removed from AWOL today and made the short journey to Mermaid Marine in Ferndown. Fingers crossed for a favourable report and hoping not to have a wallet transplant Martin
  15. Alex some reading for you http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/forums/index.php?s...03&hl=bait+well http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/forums/index.php?s...80&hl=bait+tank http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/forums/index.php?s...27&hl=bait+tank http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/forums/index.php?s...80&hl=bait+tank and yes 5 macky should be fine in a tub that size Martin BTW welcome to pbsbac
  16. I hope its one of the flashy sports fishers, I would just love a go Martin
  17. Similar plan for me except I would forgoe the conger fishing so: Day 1 = Trip over planned to fish wrecks on way. Assuming no engine probs this year onto Casquest banks for flatties. into port for wash and brush up then pub (thats Deans idea ) Day 2 = Banks for flatties and bass end of day same as day 1 (so long as day 1 wasn't too messy ) Day 3 = Flatfish and Bass eve similar Day 4 = Maybe tope + Hurd deeps and wrecks on the way home or if the rips are fishing maybe a trip there then home I would like to try the inshore mark for light line Pollock but this is tide and weather dependant> I believe the ebb is best for this? is that correct Fueling up would be undertaken as and when Martin
  18. Paul i belive there is no alongside petrol facility so refueling will have to be done via jerry cans and the nearest garage. Might be a job for the local taxi or maybe Mark @ Alderney angling could help out? Martin
  19. Hhuummmm I'll have to think twice abou going out now
  20. No idea what would have caused that Patrick but its almost certainly not caused by driving out the anchor. Members haul out there anchors with motors as small as 30hp outboards so a diesel will have not problems at all doing this excercise. Good job your engine is still in warranty I only wish mine was BTW how are your anchor hauling skills coming on? Martin
  21. Not really Patrick as the engineer is a Steyr trained technician and the uk importers are based in Ferndown so not to far away. Anyway as a general update Poole Marine Service removed the outdrive this week and the engine is coming out next week so I feel we are making progress at last. Martin
  22. Hey Jack long time no see, happy birthday mate Martin
  23. That's exactly what Veronica says Martin
  24. Try as I might I don't find this funny.........................but perhaps that' because I'm one of the over fifties Martin
  25. Really? That is the same price as Salterns in that case - I thought Corals were meant to be cheaper? I got a PM this morning says Corals were 64p?? Bear in mind as it is a monthly account Tonys fuel may have been purchased a month ago when prices were higher Martin
