A Jelly Baby walks into a bar and starts talking to a Smartie. After a few beers the Smartie says "Ere, a bunch of us are heading to that new club, fancy tagging along?" The Jelly Baby says "No mate, I'm a softie, I always end up getting my head kicked in." So Smartie says, "Don't worry about it, I'm a bit of a hard case I'll look after you." Jelly Baby thinks about it for a minute and says "Fair enough, as long as you'll look after me", and off they go. After a few more beers in the club, three Lockets walk in. As soon as he sees them, Smartie hides under the table. The Lockets take one look at Jelly Baby and start kicking him, breaking bottles over his little jelly head, lamping him with little sugary chairs, and generally having a laugh. After a while they get bored and walk out. Jelly Baby pulls his battered Jelly Baby body over to the table and wipes up his Jelly Baby blood and turns to Smartie and says "I thought you were going to look after me." Jason If you are going to be laid up for a while i would strongly recomend not having a swinging mooring. Reason is if the boat is easliy reachable ie pontoon or stored ashore we (club members) can keep our beady eyes on it for you. It would be a little more difficult for us to check if its afloat Just a thought, Martin

Adam You need to fit the inlet through the hull and not the transom, reason being as soon as you start moving with a transom fitting no water. You need: Pump, Sea cock, In line Filter, Hose, Sikaflex, stainless jubilee clips, tank connector Once you have water in use hose lock fittings to connect to your tank/hosewash. Waste water from the tank can be via a flexible hose though the scuppers or through a skin fitting Hope that makes sense BTW I have just bought the full works (well ordered) from Pete Trew (Quay West Chandlery) at a very advantageous prices. Staff at Parkstone are definately helpful but not sure about the security there. In my short stay I have heard lots of mumblings of things going missing, cctv that doesn't work or cover all the yard. Also the main issue for me at Parkstone is the blooming security gate that never works and on the odd occasion it does the personell gate is always left open However these issues wouldnt effect a swinging mooring Martin

For short-term storage then mooring would be a cheaper option, I don't think you can pay for short-term dry stack, prices this are per year. As Mike says if its just storage your after there maybe other options. You would though need a trailer because otherwise transportation costs could prove prohibitive Martin

You would be charged for all protruding bits including the leg or outboard if you have one Can't find the rate chart for rockley but will keep looking Martin

The weather this week end certaily wasn't favourable for small boats. We took "Awol" for a spin through the harbour and down the swash on sunday and it was still very gusty, that was pleasant enough but further out it most certainly was not nice
