  1. I have it on good authority that there are no angling stands (as promised) at the boat show. Also Warrior, Orkney and the like are not showing this year. The cost to exibitors is just to prohibitve for them I believe there is a warrior on the Honda stand but that is just hearsay Martin
  2. The end is here Martin

  4. As I understand it you need a limp wrist action which allegedly Rich is in posession of
  5. Mike I think you miss the point, its not the expese that counts but the pleasure you derive from your equipment/sport. Personally I would rather fish with a quality rod action than a stick of rhubarb it matters not what costs, I would certainly rather use a rod of any description than a violin Martin
  6. Team Diawa have my vote, I luv em uptiders and downtiders. Martin
  7. Hi Mike Scan through the Atlantic fisher thread Details are in there Does this meen there maybe another 195 coming up for sale? Martin

  15. Jack We bought the new boat to try and make it more difficult for you to find us Martin
  16. Mike My Warrior 195 is about the same weight as the 640 @ 1040kg without anything on it. My Optimax is a 150hp and has no trouble (as you would expect) pushing us along a a rapid rate of knots 36 in fact. She consumes an average of 1 litre of fuel per mile, which is on a par with 4st engines. On trips out to the rips which are roughly 26miles each way plus all the up and down movements connected with drift fishing, we would typically cover 80+ miles in a day and consumed about 80 litres of fuel. Smaller boats ie 165 with 60hp 4st engines used around 70 litres for the same trip, considering the weight difference I don't think thats to bad. At tickover 4st engines are definitely quieter than my engine but when cruising I don
  17. Just cleared my cookies and came in as a guest, can't view dan's or several other folders. Can view some piccys though. Can you check the permissions Paul? might be something to do with it or not as the case maybe

  20. The fish of the month competitions starting in April have been kindly sponsored by Andy of Poole Sea Angling Centre. Each month there will be a Fenwick 20lb or 30lb class rod up for grabs which as PJ says would go well with a 7000 series reel Martin
  21. Gordon Not sure about rod rings but the 7000 size reeels are a perfect match for Conolon pro's or my favourite rods Team Diawa TDX in either the 10-20lb class or the 4-8oz uptider Martin
  22. Could be interested, which day are you intending to go? Martin
  23. PJ Your link isnt working could you add it again please Martin
  24. I used to (and still do) love my Mariner 150hp Optimax 2st. If I had to re-engine Maverick that was my choice.....a 175Mariner Optimax big is beautifull Martin
  25. Spot on Rich. Younger members may not be familiar with the military term AWOL Absent With Out Leave, hence the ere indoors comment or Adam may be correct with his lunatic comment Martin
