  1. Hi Adam Thanks for that info, next time I'm over that way I'll look in and see Neil. You suggest he has a website but didnt give the address? Cheers Martin
  2. Duncan My boat has a deck wash pump which also runs my livebait wells. There is a diverter/valve with a lever, put the lever one way works the deckwash put it the other way and it feeds the livebait well with a constant stream of lubberly fresh saltwater. You could utilise you saltwater intake for this. The Live bait well has an overflow so the water is constantly changing, the rest is self explanatory. This could be adapted ie: deckwash pump into large round bucket which is fitted with an overflow which can either go out through your scuppers or a through hull fitting. To keep the cost down most parts can be sourced through plumbers merchants rather than chandlers. Which pump, depends what pressure you want but all major players do them. Mine cost about
  3. Mark No I won't remove the antifoul in fact I shall re-antifoul just to make it look pretty (easier than removal). Also had a look at your new boat saturday, she looks big on the trailer but a really nice bit of kit. Bob I am up for anything where I can wet a line. The only problem with west bay is the slip starts off as concrete then turns to timber which can be a little slippy when the tides a little way out. The slip is also very steep. Martin

  5. Hi all Well thats it Maverick came out of the water today. It looked rather sorry for its self but after a thorough jet washing is begining to look like its old self . Lots of little jobs to do but nothing major. I am really looking forward to trailing away with the trailer section. Do we really have to wait until April for the plaice trip to the shambles, is there anything else worth going for during March? Martin
  6. Adam I have read several articles re: nylon rollers, all have basically said the same. 1 That rubber type rollers do flatten over a period of time due to them being soft . In their favour the softness can act as a slight shock absorber when towing 2 Nylon rollers do make launching easier due to them remaining round and not flattening , also the boat does not dig in to the rollers but sits on them. When towing however your boat gets a harder ride I would suggest that whatever your new boat comes with give that a try first. If you then think nylon rollers would make life easier fit them. My guess is that a warrior 165 will be easy to launch with either kinds of rollers . Martin
  7. Hi Adam Good luck on your adventure and I hope you bag yourselfe a goodun Martin
  8. Hi I have purchased electronics from John at the Redecar fish co. They do offer good prices on all electronics and the service is second to none. If you need to talk anything through John is very knowledgable and helpfull Martin
  9. I have the lowrance M3000 which has been superceded by the M4000 mono chart plotter. Although I am more than happy with the screen size and its a great improvement moving up from a straight fixed gps to a plotter. I do however regret not buying a colour set. You get better clarity and definition with the colour sets. On the subject of charts give consideration to the area you will be fishing. The smaller charts of all breads cover very limited areas. It is far cheaper to purchase a larger chart to cover all areas you dream about fishing than buying several smaller charts. The temptation is there to purchase smaller charts at around
  10. Duncan Thanks for the link it will be invaluable in planning trips away Martin

  16. Adam I think you might have a long wait, Bob seems a little shy on chatting up the cod
  17. Duncan No need to kill any fish in any of our in house club comps . They are run on a trust basis ie: we dont have a weigh in, if you say you caught it, you caught it. We trust all our members. Indead there's no money or prizes to be won only a cup or shield at the end of the year, oh and one minutes glory at the annual dinner dance and presentation. We all fish for fun, the competitions just add that bit of interest, banter and comerarderie. We know a system such as ours is open to abuse but better that than loads of dead unwanted fish at a weigh in. After all those that cheat are only fooling themsleves Martin
  18. Duncan It was nice to put a face to the voice and pleasing to hear you enjoyed the day, its nice to get feedback, I trust you'll be joining us again in the near future. You could always join the club and enter our own in house species hunts/bream/ flatfish comps amongst others. I've got your form all we need is a chq for your next years subscription Regards Martin

  20. Paul Your the WebMASTER so we'll be guided by you. On the subject of work to maintain the site, those who have been invloved with the idea and development need to have a meeting to discuss who where and when the site will be maintained. I think we will all have a rest first (especially Paul), perhaps in a couple of weeks, then go somewhere for a beer or two and a chat? Martin
