  1. I have a Raymarine DS 600 sounder for sale. I do not have the transducer but something along the lines of a airmar P79 would be ok. Had this on Awol for a while and worked well. The unit is in good order but not used for a few years. Open to offers If it doesn't work will refund money no problem

  9. As an aside I just remembered we used to use club competitions to select a "club champion" who then went forward to represent our club in a national competition organised by Boat Fishing Magazine which was then owned by Jim Whippy. James Parker represented us for a couple of years and won prizes both times. One time he won a 70hp Suzuki (competition sponsors) outboard for himself and £750 for the club. I think it was 2004 the year of the big Asian tsunami. As a club we did not need the money so it was donated to the Tsunami relief fund. On hearing this Suzuki doubled our cheque to £1500
  10. We do have competitive anglers within the club so why not have a club team. Life is a competition, some folks are better at it than others, some you win some you lose. I would have no problem with anyone setting up a team but the emphasis would be from my stand point. "them setting it up" as like you Dave I just want to go fishing and chill, I take my stress pills in the week, at the week end I just want chill pills. Lets not over complicate an open competition especially as it's not run by us.
  11. Survey = bollox (past experiences over 43 years prove it) ballot box = eyes turned, but only if you vote the right way (no precedence yet) Our leaders (read as employees) and their masters (eu) need to know who is in charge I must be getting older as I would only have thought this years ago
  12. Be aware this is not a charter boat comp but a private open boat competition so teams can be either friends or maybe a club team if any boat owners are prepared to take out others.
  13. That's good Brian would there room for the Gazebo I am holding for the club?
  14. How much and where to store?
  15. About bloomin time government agencies were told to go sling their hook. All they ever do is manipulate data to suit their own objectives/bias
  16. Happy birthday Hooky, I guess nothing's pulling your string but hopefully you are having a blast doing something else
  17. As title says & hope you having a great time
  18. We could Rob but as far as I can see it has to be done manually and is time consuming to do. I could wait until b'days come up then slowly delete but there is not much benefit in doing this other than not wishing them a happy birthday

  22. I seen him on your boat earlier in the week, guessed that was what he was doing. Glad you're pleased
  23. I actually don't think the 200 mile limit achieves very much as on the east and southern coast our limit is half way between us and our neighbours. If that did happen yes we would be able to set our own agenda however, would that agenda be more biased towards us or the commercials? Humm I think we need a bigger drum
