Kam tell your friend he will still need to paint marine plywood. The major difference between marine ply and wbp is the glue used. Be aware there are even different grades of marine plywood ranging from softwood through to hardwood. If new marine plywood does not have a protective coating the glue will hold up but the timber veneers will still wick up water and rot

Or a large fixed bridge both of which would have meant minimal ongoing maintenance costs unlike bridges with moving parts. I believe the council were warned by many but as normal with upstarts they didn't listen but opted for short term gain long term etc etc. Do public servants ever learn.............don't answer that

Wind wise the weather doesn't look great on Saturday sunny but a F4 easterly blowing however it's the only day I can get out so will probably give it a go. Anyone else interested in crewing even if its only floundering?
