Thanks for organising the comp Sam. We were a little late out but soon found the mackerel which were out in abundance. Both Macey and Daniel had numerous mackies so kept them both happy. Largest on our boat was 13.5oz to Dan. Macey had a baby small eyed ray of 2lb 4oz which was promptly photographed then put back. Unfortunately macey started feeling a little worse for wear around 12 so gave plan b a miss and came in early doors.

I filled it in then emailed it from word with no problem

It wouldn't matter what species it would still be distasteful and in my opinion out of order. What if a slaughter house had killed a load of cows or whatever then dumped the carcasses at the side of a field/road, same thing in my book and there would be an outcry and rightly so. Some people anglers/commercials will never get it the sooner they are gone the better life will be for the rest of us.

Unfortunately due to other commitments I will miss this comp. I seem to have really mixed up my diary this year missing more comps than I fish. Next years resolution will be to try harder to fish more comps

Well done Sam. I am really pleased to see the club getting behind this comp One thought, perhaps the baseball caps could be colour coded ie. light blue for boys and pink for girls, no reason other than juniors may be more inclined to wear appropriately coloured attire

48 hour comp is as far as I am aware the same format as always ie best specimen so there shouldn't be any confusion there, the other comp according to the calendar and schedule of comps says flatfish comp so I would assume that's what it is. Neal will no doubt clarify later today

Yep same here at about 6:30, had to go to see two of my granddaughters in a show earlier and got absolutely soaked through to the skin going from my front door to the car which was in my drive, it pelted down
