    Wishin update

Outboard brackets can be fixed or hydraulic in their own right - something to consider?: Inedently, the sports boat I was on last weekend, had a engine bay fume extracation system that ran before starting the egine and whilst running.
  2. Happy Birthday Both!
  3. Dave I looked at a few sites, a couple were as you report and a couple were 10-12mph all the way. However colder than we would hope!!! I guess until next wekk we need to sit on our hands as far as weather forecasts are concerned! Here's hoping, fingers crossed, Rob
  4. Nice one Jim - glad you had a good day. Rob

  9. If she is on a trailer - try BHG MArine in Lymington. Warsash Marine if you are prepared to go some distance. Rob
  10. Sounds to me like an illegal setup for towing, so a new trailer or midification might be required. With a hull of 550kg + 100kg engine and the trailer that would be well over the 750kg legal unbraked towing limit. With anchors, warp, fuel and basic gear it is prob nearer a 1000kg! OK if kept in a yard for launching i guess.
  11. Well done Trev and Derek. Nice you see you (both) doing your bit for help the aged!!!
  12. I think welding galvanised material gives off txic fumes. And you end up with a non galvanised part! Mike (whomightdoweldingbutiamnotsure) might be able to advise. Rob
  13. "Will" be arriving in Braye!

  17. Charlie C got some clunkers offshore when we went to Portland (well I think they were). And that was late in to the season. Myself, I will only take male fish and for those that are not aware, they tend to have a blue flash across the head. Females tend to be brownish, so on my boat, anything inbetween goes back too. Minimum legal landing size is 23cm according to the Southern Sea Fisheries website: http://www.southern-ifca.gov.uk/byelaws Seems a little small, think I would raise that myself. Rob
  18. Jim, they call it a Kodak moment:
  19. Tom, hope you will be OK if you don't win! It's the taking part that counts!

  23. I'm not ready! I have drag washers to replace and kit to check! Haven't fished for ages (not this year yet). Might have to have some warm up sessions end of this month. Plus make up loads and loads of leads to take - good ballast when going through swinge! (Ok Skip - I know - just 3 weights each!) Rob (far from excited, NOT!!!)
  24. I found a Sea Mouse in the Poole Bay Cod Comp 2009 winning fish:
  25. Toby, Bad luck re. trailer! I have a 2 ton ratchet strap that holds the bow down on the trailer - it is far too long and far to big for the job - however this is my backup winch if ever needed. I could ratchet the boat up slowly then tie off - unwind, ratchet some more etc etc. Hoping not to need it as I got a new shiny winch from TrailerTek at Micheldever (just round the corner from you!). Well done for annoying jetskiers!! Rob
