  1. According to Charlie I am a Veteran of many trips - but I certainly got a sense of adventure gong through the swinge in a 21ft boat Nothing wrong with that, it is all about the right speed for the conditions with is inversly proportionate to the sanity of the skipper - say no more!!! (who said he could have 600hp on the next one!!!)

No swell. That's Trev's view of the world, he's only little!!!
  3. Cool - I have only been once, besides the good fishing, the crack in the evening \ during the day between boats is a high light! I expect for the "old hands" they don't get such sense of adventure as I did. Rob

  9. And that's a 10lb'er!!! Got any Tigers or Char??? p.s. is that a brook?
  10. Don't believe everything you see\read!!! "More fishing from mental kayakers as one angler gets towed for five hours by a massive marlin. Some excellent footage of leaping marlin." Funny, he changed his Yak and shirt during the video - mind you I haven't listened to the commentary! Rob

    Elec start

Is a 2.5 going to go more than 5knts? If not go electric! I think what you want is this: http://www.porta-bote.com/?gclid=CPnr9ZCU7KYCFRN-5QodMF8UAw I am not a Yakker, but I woudl have thought some of the appeal was the enjoyment of exercise, satisfaction of paddeling under your own steam and the peace and quiet! If you want a boat get one! How about an inflatable if storage is an issue? How do you insure yourself \ craft? Can you? Should you? Are you prepared to lose your house etc if you hurt someone if you can't get insurance?
  13. Enjoy!
  14. Enjoy Mark - though I bet your on a night shift!!! Rob
  15. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!! But in a word Oli - NO!
  16. Oil - taste is to be sure - you could have rain water building up and you dislodge it in rough weather!!!! be sure be sure be sure!

  21. Flippin heck Mick - you paid attention on that course! I do recall some info on the news when we had the fuel shortage, concerning keeping only small amounts at home not in vehicles. Not sure there is a work around for us, unless we get some dispensation, as per we do for trailer lighting. Rob
  22. No Mick, you have less than 10 litres! Shhhhhh! What is the score with diesel in heating oil tanks then?!

    Quite interesting

You have the time being retired! Do you also go to the post office at the same time that the working population have a lunch break?

    Quite interesting

I think this was a reaction, after listening to Chris Moyles and Fern whoever going on about dates and times and the seconds that had a pattern in them! Dire radio and silence would have been better! However, i am sure this will appeal to those who round up their fuel filling to the nearest pound or have to check the front door is locked 12 times before leaving home!
