    what boat

Welcome Johnny, Join the club and go out on one as crew! Can't say much more that that! There are loads of reviews and chat about boats and their merits on this forum - use the search facility and saerch all forums from the beginning. Fill ya boots!!! Rob
  2. I have put it in my googledocs: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0By2HmtGQJD...authkey=CLiSoCk
  3. Below - a reworked pdf in A4: if you want it emailed pm me. Rob (I have a few more of these to make but they are not full sets unfortunatley ) PROBLEM UPLOADING 791KB PDF - PAUL DORE - Can you help me? I can upload it as a .fdp - so it is not a size thing !! It says "You cannot upload this type of file" - though I can if it is smaller.
  4. That was Adams work!!! I will remove and put up an A4 set.
  5. 50ft!!! well at least 5!!!!!! It is well contstructed and fairly straight without many sideways protrusions. It does have a few posts along the top and finishes on the penultimate post before the last BIG one! It does appear out of the water at low or near low and catchs out many a skipper throughout the year. As Martin says - you need a chart and get familiar with the area. Come to a meeting with a chart and you will have plently of advise on where not to go. And no doubt some places to go!!! (Taking a chart to a club meeting is like bees around honey, Wasps round a lolly or proably flies round s&*t!!!!). HTH, Rob
  6. PM me email addresses. Rob
  7. Mike - I lost that one!!!!
  8. I have split the topic and moved the channel flow bits to here: http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=11612 Rob
  9. Damn, if i thought it would be this popular I would have swapped them for some marks!!! Attachment removed - a few posts below!!
  10. Adam - PDF it for ease. Use something like PDFCreator and print it to PDF if you don't already have that facility. Rob
  11. Charlie, Check out my gallery http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/photoalbum/thumbnails.php?album=223 Rob
  12. If you think you need terminal gear, ask the questions now - perhpas new thread in tackle talk. You don't want to be caught short mid channel - though dont go over the top as you can stock up vat free with Mark at Alderney Angling! Rob p.s. Tomo has the lead moulds, does anyone need to start making weights for wrecking or watch leads for turbos!!!
  13. Tide in the morning heading west: Dover HW +1 c.07:45 http://www.visitmyharbour.com/viewchart.as...E01FA784FA32110 This would suggest that 6 hours after HW Dover it is slack mid channel: Dover HW +6 c.12:45 http://www.visitmyharbour.com/viewchart.as...E01FA784FA32115 Then it pushes East again after lunch: Dover HW -5 c.14:45 http://www.visitmyharbour.com/viewchart.as...E01FA784FA32104 So Westerly in morning then head Easterly in to Braye. I concur Skipper!
  14. Av a look ear: http://www.visitmyharbour.com/harbours/cha...s.asp?cattype=5 Adam, do you mean turn left? Because you know that, that is right if you are heading south, rather than north so right is left, right? Maybe you have north up not track up? Glad your driving!!! Rob
  15. To hold the rod and feel for bites? Instead of just picking up the rod with fish attached?! I like to use my other senses - sight, sound etc (and let the bite develop!!!). Anyway, better than giving my rod away with a 20lb turbot attached!!!!
  16. Excellent Skip. Anything we \ I forgot last time?
  17. Oh - and travel insurance as it is not covered by the NHS!! Adam, can you get some bilge cleaner for the deck after refuelling? The turbo fishing is a big sea on a ice rink was fun, but one time only!!!!
  18. Good to hear you can go Tom - let the banter begin!
  19. I blame the vegetarians, not only do the produce more methane with their diet - but most of them eat fish (becasue it is not an aniumal but a vegetable, what, eh, um!!!!). So......they eat more fish (that isn't meat!!! Probably wear leather shoes too!), and they contribute to global warming more with their output too!!!
  20. Happy Birthday Craig.
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/mobile/uk-englan...pshire-12800649 Container ship stuck. Dolphin bank i assume! Rob
  22. Nice weird catch! Bet your wishing you weighed it if you didnt! Rob
  23. Have you looked on Ebay? Mind you I suggest you get an original as the copies are often a false economy.
