  1. Alex, If you spend time out on the ledge you will see boats drifting for bass - small private boats, charter boats a-like. You will pick up bass in locations that people drift and also in places where you just have a go. You have to be in it to win it!! I have drifted marks in my boat yards behind or infront of other club boats and one boat may get fish and the other not! Even two people in the same boat can yield amazingly different results! Time + patience + time + luck + a little technique!! = Bass! Se you out there Rob
  2. Here is the comp schedule in Tab Seperated Values (windows) - can be imported in to Outllok calendar etc - yes I know I am sad!!! Not sure if you will be able to download a text file - Paul D can you help? If you want a copy please ask and I will email it to you. Rob
  3. Adam, I have found Daiwa very good on the spares front. A couple of years ago I had a Dawia fixed spool beach reel which had a problem with the cam that sits on the main cog. I called them but it was 8 years old and not a current model! Having then worked out the part number they searched and the same part was used in a current model! Bingo - reel fixed for about
  4. That is a serious amout of kit! Be on Ebay no doubt - tell him to look out for it on there! There was a story I heard that a guy had his tent stolen from his shed\garage, went on Ebay to look for another one and found his! His nextdoor neighbour was arrested!!! Rob

I know with my Icom you can replace the MMSI but only once - after that you can take it to an Icom dealer - isn't there one called Green something who sponsors the club? Rob
  10. Paul - you need both types if you are to have a split system. Leisure battery is designed to have a small drain over a long period - ie - run electronics at anchor. Car battery - this is a cranking battery and what you will use to start the engine, designed for very short and high drain\amp applications. Then once started on the car battery (switch position 1) then the switch put in position 1+2 to charge both when under way. Then when at anchor switch poition 2 is used. I am sure a relay automatic switching system is possible but the 1, 2, 1+2, 0 position switch is cheaper! Rob
