    Transducer advice

Well, plasticine it is before something more permanent. I would guess the shaft drive warning maybe for transom mounting as there is nowhere to keep clear of the turbulent water, where with an OB it is behind the prop. I would guess your gonna have to wait and see. I see a long 6 weeks ahead for you! Btw, weather is lovely today!

Just use plasticine / Blu tac for a temporary fix, and go try it. What better excuse than to go out!

  10. Yes, you can be happy with a small flounder. It indicates you were doing something right! 'Twas even like a mill pond in the bay, but with the surf, there would have been no chance of a launch!
  11. Have fun Al, flounders!?!? Enjoy Steve, if the wind picks up and you have a sail up you may set a new yak record!!
  12. ^ bl**dy ambulance chasers!!!!
  13. Yep, weather watching club!!!
  14. Difficult to help without being there. Uninstall the network card from Devices and reboot. It should reinstall on restart and might just work! It sounds like it isn't getting an up address from the router, if you are using a BBand supplier provided router, they could have made a change - restart that unit too. Try one of the other pc's with the cable connection, ensure wifi is off.

    I used the sakuma 410 Stainless semi-circle ones, for longevity. http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/ipb/uploads/gallery/album_50/med_gallery_349_50_1067562.jpg http://www.sakuma.co.uk/p/297/sakuma-410-stainless-hooks

    Rockley Channel

You have ploughed both sides Tony!!!
  24. Not sure I agree! Not much wind sat to build swell. Ebbing (small) tide across midday, southerly wind (not against tide). I think it would be ok.

    Lead melting

I use a very old (70's orange) aluminium saucepan and a stainless steel cooking ladle from Tesco or similar.
