  1. When is someone going to point out to the MMO that the area that is most popular for anchoring currently, has the most amount of sea grass (per their survey), and the area of ‘historic’ sea grass (e.g. none there now…) is the least popular of the anchoring spots (the bit in the yellow & red dots)….
  2. Out of interest, what is the benefit of using a longer section of warp? That looks to be about 4ft? I have been using about a 3 inch strop to connect the carabiner / ring to the buoy, so wondering if I’m missing a trick….
  3. I brought a smaller (55 I think) igloo cool box this summer and have been relatively pleased with it for the price - seems to do the job for at least 2 days food. (Yeti / Icytek would have been great, but $$$$$….). Worth checking which igloo models have insulated lids also…. Mine did not, so had to modify it with some spray foam.
  4. We tried Poole patch on the Saturday, but it was very lumpy with that easterly and we were getting no bites. Moved over to Ballard down and anchored a few different spots. Had about 15 bream between two of us, and two wrasse. As others had, a small selection of bream with only one within legal size probably. Dan
  5. Yep, others just not club members... Must be a tight squeeze for those on kayaks 😅

  11. Hi All, It’s been a while since I posted here (or on any forum!), and a while since I’ve been out fishing! I’ve recently moved back to Poole, so looking forward to getting out in the summer and remembering how to catch a fish again! Hopefully see some of you on the water. Dan
  12. If you download the Ipad version of navionics (rather than the iphone version) you will get a much better resolution on the Ipad....

  19. Unfortunately we are unable to make this weekend (though not looking like much missed with the current forecast!!), as have some tickets for twickenham Will have a chat with the boss as to the reserve date! Dan
  20. We were one of the two local boats that went to assist, (the other being a RIB called Playtime). Fortunate for the canoeists that it was such a busy weekend, and boats could respond quickly! They had got caught up in the race, in 3 man canoes with outriggers, with a very low waterline that got swamped! Had the dive boat not been on scene (with divers in the water at the time), they could have been in there a while!!
  21. Good luck with the sale! Bet you can't wait for the replacement!!!!
  22. Pah, I'm not falling for that one!!!
  23. Are you finalising the edit before you play it? A lot of software has "previews" to play the footage. Make sure it is finalised, then watch the final edit through something like VLC player. For using go pro studio (assume you mean Cineform studio?), check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEBe6hVXXHA
  24. I don't use any higher res than 720p - i cant see the difference to 1080p, and it uses a bit less memory as well! When you are importing, you'll want to match the frame rate to what is was recorded in. unless you want to do slow-mo, there is no need to use any higher frame rate than 30fps - any more and it is just using memory and processing power! That said... slo-mo is pretty damn cool..... To preserve frame rate, always import in the frame rate it was recorded in - otherwise it chops bits out, and then you end up with the jumpy footage when you slow the footage down. Dan
  25. HI Dave Yep it is still for sale, now on ebay here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seago-4-Person-Offshore-Liferaft-in-Valise-/181348945800?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_BoatEquipment_Accessories_SM&hash=item2a393d4f88 but if you wanted to 'buy it now' rather than let the auction run, let me know! Dan
