After being caught in the fog the other day for the cod comp, I dont understand why people end up going round in circles?!
Surely you know the direction you were heading / want to head, and use a compass to do so?
For example, leaving the Needles, heading on a bearing of 270, you would avoid any problems, such as the shingles, bridge (or the needles themselves if it was really dense fog! ), once traveling on this bearing for a few seconds, gps has no issue showing your direction, and then you can commence following that home as usual?
Or am I missing something here...
