Charlie The Pajaro rocker gasket is not one seal There are 2 half moon gaskets as well, if I recall it is not uncommon for these to move/fail Worth going onto the Shogun/Pajaro forums for advice. If yours is a 2.5ltr motor I have new fuel and engine filter plus timing belt sitting in the garage. Coddy

A father watched his young daughter playing in the garden. He smiled as he reflected on how sweet and pure his little girl was. Tears formed in his eyes as he thought about her seeing the wonders of nature through such innocent eyes. Suddenly she just stopped and stared at the ground. He went over to her to see what work of God had captured her attention. He noticed she was looking at two spiders mating. 'Daddy, what are those two spiders doing?' she asked. 'They're mating,' her father replied. 'What do you call the spider on top?' she asked. 'That's a Daddy Longlegs,' her father answered. 'So, the other one is a Mommy Longlegs?' the little girl asked. As his heart soared with the joy of such a cute and innocent question he replied, 'No dear, both of them are Daddy Longlegs. 'The little girl, looking a little puzzled, thought for a moment, then lifted her foot and stomped them flat. 'Well, we're not having any of that poofter sh*t in our garden' she said. Coddy

My mate has one but his version is only rated at 2 watts they do make a 5 watt model. Higher the output (watts) the better it is, on some handhelds you can plug in a bigger ariel to help give better range. Coddy

Hi Mark I am sure if the weather is half decent there will be a number of boats around the Needles area. Many people fish just around the corner from the Needles in Freshwater Bay. If you look at your charts you will see a number of banks or undulations on the sea bed. I don't have any specific marks but I am sure you will find a number of boats anchored up so it is a case of going nearby and watching your sounder for likly spots. Close inshore in Freshwater Bay can be good as well so I have heard. The Solent can produce fish so don't ignore this area, again check your charts, just need to watch out for the rag and stick brigade Good luck Coddy

Mark Be very VERY carefull at St.Catherine deeps as it can get VERY rough!! Tide races through and it is also very deep. I would suggest it is not a place for the inexperianced. Try this site page for marks on the East side of the IOW. http://www.boat-angling.co.uk/Fishing_Marks/default.htm or here http://www.solent-fishing-guide.co.uk/ and click on "Boat" menu If you are looking for marks for the West of the Needles again try Solent Fishing guide web site to start with. Hope the above helps Coddy

Think you are having a bad day? Fire authorities in California found a corpse in a burned-out section of forest while assessing the damage done by a forest fire. The deceased male was dressed in a full wet suit, complete with scuba tanks on his back, flippers, and face mask. A postmortem test revealed that the man died not from burns, but from massive internal injuries. Dental records provided a positive identification. Investigators then set about to determine how a fully clothed diver ended up in the middle of a forest fire. It was revealed that on the day of the fire, the man went diving off the coast, some 20 miles from the forest. The fire fighters, seeking to control the fire as quickly as possible, had called in a fleet of helicopters with very large dip buckets. Water was dipped from the ocean and emptied at the site of the forest fire. You guessed it. One minute our diver was making like Flipper in the Pacific, the next, he was doing the breast stroke in a fire dip bucket 300 feet in the air. Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed. But keep reading...... ---------------------------------------------- Still think you're having a bad day? A man was working on his motorcycle on the patio, his wife nearby in the kitchen. While racing the engine, the motorcycle accidentally slipped into gear.. The man, still holding onto the handlebars, was dragged along as it burst through the glass patio doors. His wife, hearing the crash, ran in the room to find her husband cut and bleeding, the motorcycle, and the shattered patio door. She called for an ambulance and, because the house sat on a fairly large hill, went down the several flights of stairs to meet the paramedics and escort them to her husband. While the attendants were loading her husband, the wife managed to right the motorcycle and push it outside. She also quickly blotted up the spilled gasoline with some paper towels and tossed them into the toilet. After being treated and released, the man returned home, looked at the shattered patio door and the damage done to his motorcycle. He went into the bathroom and consoled himself with a cigarette while attending to his business. About to stand, he flipped the butt between his legs. The wife, who was in the kitchen, heard a loud explosion and her husband screaming. Finding him lying on the bathroom floor with his trousers blown away and burns on his buttocks, legs and groin, she once again phoned for an ambulance. The same paramedic crew was dispatched. As the paramedics carried the man down the stairs to the ambulance they asked the wife how he had come to burn himself. She told them. They started laughing so hard, one slipped, the stretcher dumping the husband out. He fell down the remaining stairs, breaking his arm. Still having a bad day? Just remember, it could be worse.. -------------------------------------------- The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdes oil spill in Alaska was $80,000. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were being released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers. A minute later, in full view, a killer whale ate them both. Still think you are having a bad day? A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current, she whacked him with a handy plank of wood, breaking his arm in two places. Up to that moment, he had been happily listening to his Walkman. STILL think you're having a bad day? Two animal rights protesters were protesting at the cruelty of sending pigs to a slaughterhouse in Bonn , Germany .... Suddenly, all two thousand pigs broke loose and escaped through a broken fence, stampeding madly. The two hopeless protesters were trampled to death. What?! STILL having a bad day?? Iraqi terrorist Khay Rahnajet didn't pay enough postage on a letter bomb. It came back with 'return to sender' stamped on it. Forgetting it was the bomb, he opened it and was blown to bits. There now, feeling better? Coddy

Hi Ewen I would think that the majority of us use a fixed unit rather than a hand held. Fixed units you get a bigger screen with more chart detail but of course a lot depends what boat you have of if you want it for other reasons. You could have a look on my web site www.fishing-boat.info for gps/plotters for ideas. Coddy

Found this definition and thought it quite good Angling Angling is a method of fishing, specifically the practice of catching fish by means of an "angle" (hook). The hook is usually attached by a line to a fishing rod, outfitted with a fishing reel that functions as a mechanism for storing, retrieving and paying out the line. Generally, angling is thought of as a method of sport fishing but some commercial fisheries use methods which are quite similar. Angling is a popular activity in most parts of the world and in the UK around 1.4 million people participate every year, angling from beaches, harbours, piers, and from boats both close to shore and offshore over wrecks where marine life thrives. Although Angling is generally a safe sport, several fatalities are recorded each year, predominantly from small angling boats capsizing/sinking or from people falling into the sea. Coddy

For those interested in statistics there is a good report here http://www.mcga.gov.uk/c4mca/watersports__...06_report-3.pdf It shows those interested in Angling from the shore and boat plus other interests. I suppose like most statistics you can show trends in almost anything. Shame it is only listed up to 2006 as I suspect there will be quite a few changes due to the current economic climate. Coddy

A Woman was out golfing one day when she hit the ball into the woods. She went into the woods to look for it and found a frog in a trap. The frog said to her, 'If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three wishes.' The woman freed the frog, and the frog said, 'Thank you, but I failed to mention that there was a condition to your wishes. Whatever you wish for, your husband will get times ten!' The woman said, 'That's okay.' For her first wish, she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world. The frog warned her, 'You do realize that this wish will also make your husband the most handsome man in the world, an Adonis whom women will flock to'. The woman replied, 'That's okay, because I will be the most beautiful Woman and he will have eyes only for me.' So, KAZAM-she's the most beautiful Woman in the world! For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the world. The frog said, 'That will make your husband the richest man in the world and he will be ten times richer than you.' The woman said, 'That's okay, because what's mine is his and what's his is mine.' So, KAZAM-she's the richest woman in the world! The frog then inquired about her third wish, and she answered, 'I'd like a mild heart attack.' Moral of the story: Women are clever. Don't mess with them. Attention female readers : This is the end of the joke for you. Stop here and continue feeling good. Male readers : Please scroll down. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .. ... ... ... .... ... ... ... ... The man had a heart attack ten times milder than his wife. Moral of the story : Women are really dumb but think they're really smart. Let them continue to think that way and just enjoy the show. PS: If you are a woman and are still reading this; it only goes to show that women never listen...now run along and put the kettle on, there's a love. Coddy

A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, then insured them against, among other things, fire. Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company. In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason, that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued and WON! (Stay with me.) Delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated nevertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company, which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered to be unacceptable "fire" and was obligated to pay the claim. Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the cigars lost in the "fires". NOW FOR THE BEST PART... After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!! With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine. This is a true story and was the First Place winner in the recent Criminal Lawyers Award Contest. ONLY IN AMERICA NO WONDER THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES THINK THEY'RE NUTS Coddy

For those who would like to keep their engine as salt free as possible, the distributor of Salt X has some dispensers to attach to your hose which then goes onto the engine muffs. This dispenser delivers the correct dosage as it is flushing around the engine. As a tip I would warm the engine up first then connect the dispenser and catch some of the returned water so you can wash down rods and reels. I might help to keep those exspensive repair bills away for a bit longer. Give Salt-X a call, think they were around
