    Prop Bags?

Does anyone know where I can source decent HD prop bags / covers from? I have used the thin nylon flourecent ones in the past but they dirty quickly when on an engine and wear through / rip easily. I have seen the ones on a few boats that are made from the same HD material that tonneau covers are made from but cant seem to source them online any where? Ta

    Skate Fishing

Update: Rich JAW Tom B Gordon M Adam F Can all of these let me know ASAP if they are still up for the trip as I need to get back to Reg ASAP. If it stays as 4 or less I am planning to drive up as it will be cheaper than flying, we will have the car for mobility and its less hastle with the tackle. If anyone else fancies it let me know. Cheers Adam

    Fenders

I'm trying them to the walls of my house to stop me hurting my head from banging it against the wall
  10. Not south of the needles Paul... wind aginst tide in the morning wasnt nice - 2lb + lead needed all day, and when the tide swung, the wind went east and created more fetch - most of the charter boats headed back up the solent, we had a nasty chop all day with a good 8-10' swell in the afternoon. Once we crossed the bridge it was much nicer - similar to where you guys were I'd guess? Lovelly inland though Mike - I agree.
  11. Just got back in - F4/5 Easterly, cold and lumpy as hell. Doggies only, bacon baps saved the day once again! Adam & Gordon

  13. Calmed down a little now. Spoke to the guy yesterday. Basically he simply changed his mind . He was hugely apologetic, and as I mentioned popped a ton in the post for my hastle - still, I would rather have had the boat, oh well. Back to the drawing board!
  14. I'm now available both sat/sun (sun prefered) to crew due to being boatless once again. Adam
  15. Well, the put your minds at rest and to answer the guesses in my last post - yes, I had bought a new boat, and yes, it was a Warrior 175. However... despote leaving a 10% deposit, it arrived back in this mornings post with a short letter explaining that circumstances had 'changed' and that the boat wasnt available any longer The guy did howver include a cheque to cover my costs. That's 2 boats that have been pulled from under me in as many months! To be honest I'm pretty f$$ked off about the whole thing and cant really be bothered to look around anymore. A thoroughly pi
  16. OK, OK! .... I'll tell you what it is.... It's my new boat! and it's coming home on Sat!
  17. I thought Gordon was busy on Sat??....
  18. I may be up for a trip Sunday.... .........
  19. Its a bigger danger than we think. A few years back one of the Weymouth fleet hit a container kid channel en-route to Alderney, it smashed the bow, but didnt breach the forward bulkhead. He managed to link back to Weymouth. I have seen numerous sleepers and large flotsam and jetsom, fortunatly our small boats whilst being relitively fragile, are pretty nimble and easy to manouvre.
  20. I agree. However can I make the suggrstion that the link for reporting catches is made as easily accesable and obvious as possible?

  24. Hi, Welcome to our forum. The Quicksilver 640 has been discussed a few times in the past already: http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/forums/index.php?s...quicksilver+640 http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/forums/index.php?s...quicksilver+640 http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/forums/index.php?a...quicksilver+640 Overall to sum up, they seem a reasonable boat but somewhat dogged by quality issues. Have you considered any of the other pilothouses? Adam
