  1. I believe all shetland has a stern light fitted at the rear. My Sheltie had one.
  2. Well done club, well done Suzuki.

Why don't you get them to fix it? Obviously it's their fault?!

    HH VHF Advice?

I'm interested in getting one if price is right.
  5. I have no problems with that. Saw an old lady drew out
  6. Thank you Richard, I was expecting the losss of the wrap so, there's no big surprise (ooch...... ) Thanks Duncan it seems clear now and hope to have a go after I come back from HK. Adam, another advantage I can see from the anchorplait is doing away with a D shackle which can work the bolt loss (if it isn't secured probably), that's how I lost my first anchor and chain.
  7. It's not that I be-grundge the fiver cost. If I have to take it to a chandlery store to (ask) have someone to splice it for me, I need to drive 30 miles to Southampton, 30 miles back then to do the same again on another to pick it up. Back to the anchorplait, do we just leave the end bits expose as shown in the picture?
  8. Don't forget to tick the box where they can claim back 24%(?) tax you'd paid to the government.
  9. Anchorplait? Was it the rope in chain thingy on the anchor wrap you lent me? I was wondering how that works. It just seem to have plaits round/over one and other down the chain then back up the chain before you tied it off. Does it spread the load better, i.e., not having all the load on one shackle?
  10. I've got my rope, but it didn't come spliced. Is it easy to splice, if not where can I get it spliced? kam
  11. I'd used the Davies' boatyard previously. Parking isn't that much of a problem, you just stick it in any nukes and crannies you can find, between parked boats and I learnt to block the trailer off with the car, ie, unhitch the trailer, easier to park. Only problem is the slip is very STEEP, ( now I know why there's a manual winch on the side). On the plus side, the plontoon is excellent for loading and unloading, not to mention it's a lot cheaper than Cobbs.
  12. You can always try the other side of the solent, SEE facing so out of the wind.
  13. Carp?? Youre in the sea matey - Carp are freshwater fish!! LOL!! Maybe the carps ate all the bass......

Generally what make a boat sink at mooring? Is it holes/cracks?
  17. Welcome Gordon
  18. Nice fish PD. At least you still have all 10 toes.
  19. Good luck to those who fish the comp tomorrow.
  20. When I was young and lived in Oxford, used to do a lot of spooning and plugging for perch and pike, largest perch was about 2 1/2lb. Would be up for it if day of week is right.

    Powerpro braid

The literature lists the 30 lb as having 0.11" (about 0.20-0.21mm). The only downside it's yellow/hi-vis. The matey has his stall on Tuesday in Hythe. His stall price is
