Is that in comp or in general fishing? As you said, most feathers are at least 4 hooks, some have 6 hooks. It really save a lot of time if drifting for mackeral for bait, a few drifts and it's off to fishing marks. Can we make an exemption for feathering mackeral or not? As long as any fish caught are not recorded when using 3+ feathers. In most small boats with 2 anglers onboard, I would have thought 2 rods per person is pretty much the norm without the boat resembling a sea urchin?

We are due to go out next Tuesday and the forecast is 16-19mph sw, so how bad is it?

If I want to fish light, will a grip lead help to hold bottom when downtiding?

Does it fish better at high or low pressure? What is consider high and low?

I read it somewhere any fish that to be considered as a record fish, it HAS to be weighted on shore, i.e killing the fish (in most cases), am I right?

Doubt it! A lot of our bass are farmed but the trawler men are still out trawling bass.

I have fitted my Nav 7100 and Matrix 20 f/f gps. The only instruction I found regarding connecting GPS to VHF was in the Nav instructions: It said 'connection to GPS.' pointing to one of the many leads. All connectors on my MAtrix is socketed/plugged. The mentioned lead is a 7 strand wire with 5 wires marked 'not in use' for 7000/7100 and one 'GPS +' and the other 'GPS -'. Anyone have a similar setup and if yes, how did you connect it up?

I think I have the answer for this one. I went fishing on a chartered boat a couple of months ago, one of the guy keep catching doggies and nothing else, even tho everyone else caught others. On the xxth doggy, it got so pissed off and he wacked it on the head and said 'I'll keep this and any others for the bloody cat ' And it was the last doggie he caught that day......

Are inboards less efficient than outboards? Very often I see a boat with outboard in the 50+hp whereas a same boat with inboard have 100+hp.

Doesn't sound it a virus, but more of spyware and adwares. Very often companies (unscrupulus pnes) use pop up and when you click to close it, and it download onto you computer and change your homepage and sometime your dial up (a premium rate one). If you can't delete it from Window, boot up in c:> and delte it that way, you may have to change the attribute to do it. I thoroughly enjoyed the trailaway, I learnt a few things about launching and recovering boats, how not to do it, i.e., like half hanging over the front of the boat . Biggest thank to Martin who very kindly let me ride on his boat, it's a mean beast, and the bacon rools not bad either . Not to mention that he sportingly let me have a smoothhound (my first ever) after blanking for sometime.
